i played gta 4 and there was never less than 20fps @ story missions or in freeroam mode. well well... 1 day left for me and il check it out.

Like how you do it, is it smooth, can you meet the other characters outside ?

You hold down on the D pad, and it brings up a wheel, it has icons for each person/dog/whatever you can control and it also has a number next to each icon with how many missions are available for each character, you can also just tap down on the D pad and it swaps to recommended one.

Have a try and see. The framerate is low. Even 30 is low. But from a distance it is less apparent than from a few cm off the screen. Let's hope they add motion blur and DX11 support in a patch so it appears 60fps. Laughing

The brain ! It's all it's fault. After playing 60fps for long time, 30fps is barely playable... and dips below are even worse. Same goes for graphics.

I can adjust somehow to 30fps but only if its steady. its not in gtaV and it IS getting in a way from time to time.

its not as bad as crysis2 or saints row 2 anway. but gta iv was little better or maybe it was motion blur

not only from a distance but also from handy cam videos we've seen a lot in last few days.
Those always look like if the game performs better and look better than it really is.

PS If there's no motion blur, apply the manual motion blur fix, instant 60FPS

200 pages to look through is a bit much so i gotta ask.

going the RGH route i extracted disc 1 to the content folder and treated disc 2 like any normal game(both are placed on an external). i start it up andi can actually get into the game but after the rockstar logos it just crashes back to fsd.

anyone know what i did wrong?

edit: stupid stupid... gotta place the install files in the internal hdd.

ugh. back to the drawing board.

I've just turned it off, after 8 hours of pretty solid playing, I am 9% into the story mode and loving it. When I get my ps3 copy on Tuesday the problem is I'm going to have to do this all again. Oh well, could be worse! I have to get some sleep now, but this game ROCKS.

Son of a bitch. I forgot I was also downloading this from a torrent, and was trying to get the 10% dl'd torrent to run and not the actual fully downloaded Usenet version. 3 hours. Gone. Did give me a chance to run out and get a ton of pumpkin ale's though. . .

Just use a save editor to transfer ownership of your file. Trophies will not transfer over though.

The visuals are great, absolutely! Framerate is a bit touchy, depending on the scene, but yeah.. it looks the same as the 360 streams. Some scenes have nice AA, whereas others are pretty jagged, but I'd say both system are pretty much equal.

I assume (for some reason) you are playing on the PS3. If so then yes. I did it for Dragon's Crown.



I used another save game resigner. . .worked like shit. This worked first time. It's as simple as copying info from a legit PS3 save game, into your hacked PS3 save. I used an Uncharted 3 save to update my hacked Dragon's Crown save so I didn't have to start all over when I went online.

Loving the shit out of this game, the world detail is magnificent. I'm not talking about "visual quality" (even though that is amazing too) but the world itself, the attention to detail and the character. Walk into barbershop and the stylist is sometimes talking to another customer, just finishing up with a previous haircut, and it's that kind of attention to detail that is so friggin' amazing Very Happy
