Can you fly a passenger aircraft or just small aircraft? I mean larger like 737 or even larger like 777?

Handling is just as bad (or good, if you liked it Razz) as GTA4 but the car damage seems terrible.. so little impact on cars, I drove into the corner of a wall at full speed and didn't even break the headlight Neutral

Whoa.. tell a lie, the framerate is janky. Driving out in the open with lots of AI cars around and in the daylight? This ain't 30fps, nowhere near it, more like 20-25.

I was surprised to see that i died when i crashed frontal once. Funny as hell though.

And the dialogue is fucking ace. I burst out laughing so many times. How do they nail it so well?

Radio stations spot on. Wife is from la and i realised i played her when she stole her parents car as a teenager listening to the germs, circle jerks and shit.

I can choose the character ingame, as if the other person goes on living its own life. Seriously wtf?

Its like playing a damn movie, started with fargo and then just keeps giving. Or maybe its me looking to deep in the wine bottle? Who cares...i just laugh at all the random things and stand in amazement of the things they have acomplished. Bravo R*, just bravo.

must be an HDD fail some one sayd the ps3 version runs smoooth no frame rate issuis.
thats negativ thing about pirating games and playing from a bad hdd. Smile

Anyone can send some pics? I don't know if I should buy it or wait for PC/PS4 version (I have long queue to play anyway). I'm not a grapic whore but I like to play with no fps drops, so not like GTAIV on PS3.

Sabin's input is valuable but it's good to hear few more voices:)

I'm thinking I have a bad download. I'm on 4.46 Rogero (1.00) and 04.46 (v2) MM. . .and I still get crashes past Duplex screen (the other Eboot doesn't even error out. . .just crashes the PS3 now).

EDIT: There are some wildly different file sizes for this game on Usenet. What size are people grabbing. There's one that's freaking 19GIGS (smallest is 16. . .the booger-Duplex that I grabbed).

Well after two hours (a man gotta sleep Sad ) I can say I am very impressed. The framerate is fine and it looks really good. Gone are the washed out graphics of GTA4. Glad to see they can still pull this out of the PS3. Loading is a bit long (about the same as GTA4) and I had a couple of secs slow streaming. I don't see a lot of jaggies (did PS3 finally win!?). Animations are top notch and shooting is good too. I think the driving is OK, it seems a lot like Sleeping Dogs to me. Arcadey, but it works.
Music, direction, characters (what little I've seen), gameworld, it all seems very very good. If you have a console, play it NOW. No need to wait for PC version. It's too early obviously, but the first impression say "best GTA yet".

PS. Will replacing my original Fat HDD with a shiny new one have any serious impact on loading times?

I was on a sightseeing journey on a random train and after a few minutes of riding along it went into a tunnel and then BAM, this scene out of fucking nowhere lol

Regardless, it's a fine game so far.

What a load of rubbish, stop posting nonsense. There's nothing wrong with this HDD and even if there were, it wouldn't translate into low framerate - it would be loading failures or texture streaming issues and stuttering "hitching"
