Even though the graphics are pretty impressive btw and the performance (ps3 version) I still keep thinking to myself wish I was playing this on pc or next gen, maybe because I just got new pc and been playing everything dx11 maxed and gta 5 is looking super dated vs that.
This game is gonna be jaw dropping on next gen/pc for sure, the art design is amazing.

I'll try that. I'm on Rogero 4.4 - but haven't had any issues with any games. . .usually just FTP and play.
EDIT: Although I have no idea what "replace eboot. . ." means. Is this something that may be spoke of here?

look at the filies , eboot.bin.orig is the original one, rename them.

Yea. . .if it was a snake it would have bit me.
Sadly now I'm getting the "8000. . ." errors. Doesn't even get to the Duplex intro. I wonder if I just need to update to 4.46?

Just curious, I've always run my PS3 games solely off of my internal HDD. Given that Rockstar games have a history of being kinda sketchy on the PS3, is that the best way to play it? I know that the internal HDD should be a lot faster than the USB drive, but given that it might be optimized to load some from the disc, some from the drive?

*Framerate seems fine (fine being "console fine", just so you know) it's a fluid 30 if it's 29, so far at least. The escape in the car from the "start" (no spoilers) seemed like it MAY have been slower than 30, or it could have just been a trick of the eye.
*Without having direct comparison side-by-side right in front of me, I can't say for sure - but the PS3 most certainly has some form of anti-aliasing running, it doesn't look as jagged as the 360 videos at least.
*The visuals are really nice, like... really, really nice, nice lighting and shadows and the texture quality isn't the worst.
So far it is, performance and visuals, so much of a step up beyond GTA4 that the comparison feels unfair. This is more like MP3, much more like it in fact. Oh and the loading times between scenes are quicker than expected too, that initial "loading story mode.." was bad.
