Played the PS3 version that got released today, still fifa for me, wish they would just redo the whole thing, players are to robotic, animations are good but not great.. lots of other things I cant be arsed to list.

Well you should get arsed to name the other things you dislike cause the animations don't justify choosing one over the other IMO. I treied the FIFA demo and animations look robotic as well for 2013.

The fact that you cant actually do a controlled shot on manual shooting controls anymore (due to a bug or on purpose) says alot about what the quality the initial code is. Spent more than an hour trying to get a controlled shot on goal, which is objectivly impossible. Yet, if i switch to advanced shooting mode it as simple as before. And it´s not just the direction thats at fault, it´s the hardness that seems preset to full as soon as you click the shooting button.

Now, that's much better Smile That's probably the reason why I decided I wouldn't be buying this game either (though I will try the iso demo). My instinct told me this would be too buggy and that they will need one additional year and the pressure of the new consoles to get it right with this new engine.

Hmm, herad something like: you have to push the shoot button and release it right after the cross and before the ball reaches the striker.

Maybe worth a try?

Here you are Ixi : http://www.nfohump.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=75884&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=150

PES 2013 was released by p2p on 15/09/2013. Official release dates were 20/09 EU, 21/09 UK and 25/09 NA.
Some german guys already have the game, so a p2p release or a scene release by the german group of Reloaded is possible today or tomorrow.
I'm playing the PS3 version the last days and I assure you this is the best football videogame ever created. It has some flaws but it's so addictive you can't keep it down. The animations are absolutely phenomenal and yes cpu keeps possession and the build-up is excellent all around. The most shocking thing is that I have spent more time in PES 2014 than GTA V so far. Surprised

It really is amazing football sim. Animations are great and shooting mechanic is weird, but that both is nothing when it comes to player positioning. This is where PES 2014 destroys FIFA and any previous football game. AI controlled players really move with freedom on the pitch. I'm not sure how Konami called it in their pre release hype, but it works flawlessly. You can exploit players out of position, pull extra help from back, direct low crosses and deep balls into open space. You have interceptions leading to chances, authentic fast breaks and all sorts of things previously unseen in any game.

Tika taka with any team is gone. I was seriously wowed when my friend executed blistering counteratack after I failed to score after a long possession.

Oh, you can accuse PES of being many things, but this one you mention I have no worries about, epecially after having played the FIFA 14 demo

I really don't consider fifa 14's demo arcadeish...Ive come to the conclusion that simulation of football means different things to different people..and tbh im not sure that simulating football is at all possible ..we shall see,...its out for PC in some countries are there no vids about>
