Finally grabbing the game (couldn't resist, really), but a derp question first: can I install custom missions on the Yarr release? I've always had legit Arma's in the past so I don't know if they're 100% compatible.
If so, I'll start browsing Armaholic like a madman.

Good missions are on Steam & Armaholic too, generally |
Cool, thanks. As long as Armaholic has them too, I'm set ^^

Is there a reason to pirate this if i don't care about editing stuff nor multiplayer? |
You can still download and play tons of custom missions/small campaigns, which is what I'll do. The editor is actually pretty damn fun as well, give it a try.

been messing with some of the steam workshop missions lol quite good really had some fun, altis is just pure win and runs better than stratis for me lol no idea why it but it does...
last mission thing made i played was this escape the maze thing, start with pistol work your way out and pick up ammo etc on the way, quite fun good for fast pistol aiming training lol.

dunno its cpu intensive with lots of AI but always has been, im on old shit and it runs fine and dandy, maybe its something else. arma always was one to tweak a little.. primarily its netcode that causes issues ull find sp/editor always much better im sure.
you will want to try this in the docs folder for arma3.cfg
GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;
GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;

when i find time to play,i usualy hop on Domination or Invade&Annex servers.both missions have been ported to altis so there is a lot to see and shoot.
i just hope that the Insurgency-Mission for Altis gets done quickly (and PvP will be included)

there is only one wasteland mod to play and its not the standard ones you see, because they are all coded like shit..
patience is needed right now for mod choice to play.. too many people rushed the ports of mods to arma3 back when alpha was on sale its retarded, you had that one guy who made that stratis map whole map a warzone thing and it was fucking pathetic to do that in the state the game was, its all about who can make some sort of name for themselves amongst the massive pc builds that are more forgiving..
I feel that one is better off right now playing small coop scale stuff with friends that require mission objectives to complete.
but hey thats just me im not in for all this huge bundle deathmatch stuff, I like to use arma for what it was made really for that was tactical coop mission gameplay.

kinda interesting game mode for peeps here.
http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?163741-PSC-Infiltrator-2-40-Team-vs-Team-Stealth
Asymetrical combat
The larger team, a conventional force with regular infantry weapons against a single specialist (Combat diver). The specialist gets an SDAR and NVG. The regular force has to use flashlights.
Perpetual
The mission is designed with very little downtime. Instead of a normal approach with extensive gear up and briefings, the game keeps running all the time. The player who kills the specialist becomes the specialist. That means no tedious mission reboot after each completed mission. Also works great for public servers where players can simply drop in and get into the fight.
Features
-Unique asymetrical stealth combat
-Great for public "drop-in" play
-Extensive briefing with custom images
-Supports 2-40 players
-RPT friendly (map have been extensively checked for RPT errors, it wont eat your hard driv
