Yeah Walmart's release is broken. And even if it worked they only cracked the 32bit version of the game which is equally problematic. The 3DM/ALI213 crack works fine here.

Wallmart steam_api.dll probably is detected as virus and your systems are blocking it.
Just use old RLD emu or ALI213 emu it works perfectly fine. |
Yeah, already tried that, when the game starts: some subtitles happen and black screen. Pressing esc brings up the menu so i can quit but that's it. |
Same thing for me...damnit I want to play this game!!..Solutions anyone ?

Ok, not much for "thriller" games with no action/killing.
However, I did LOVE amnesia.
Is this game similar? Worth the ARRrrrr?

That's because Rivatuner Server doesn't support 64bit apps at the moment, so anything based on RivaTuner - such as RadeonPro or Afterburner - won't work either.

shame. but ok.
Dont see a bad performance tho.
1080p, all 3 settings to very high and the game is 60fps. Never dropped for a second. about 20minutes playing. got inside house and main hall. No problems.
it needs aa tho

It's pretty much Amnesia in an modern(?) setting asylum.

Looks pretty good. But the question is, can you get raped too, or only killed?

I think you will need to wait for Japanese indie developers to embrace horror games to experience that.

You joke but honestly, I'm exacting something similar to that situation. |
Spoiler: | I joke, yes, but at the same time I'm being quite serious. I mean, one thing is a simple, lightweight, scripted demo, that was optimized to run on single GTX690 on the optimized Nvidia's drivers on 30 FPS and another is actual gameplay with the same level of quality.
Well, one can say, you always can customize quality level. True, but what the point then? :3 With the same success you can customize quality of UE3 to look stunning at 10FPS. |

Well both the Samaritan and Infiltrator were *supposedly* ran on a single GTX680 but - like you said - at 30fps and in a closed environment. I would be astounded if a full-fledge game made with that kind of visual quality was playable on anything less than a Titan, to be completely honest. I wish nV had put out physical copies of these two demonstrations so that we could see for ourselves, neh?

Had the dumb idea to be a hero and play this with headset on. Not the brightest idea to do this at 1 AM with everyone asleep in house and dim lights.
Game runs fine here at over 60 FPS on max details 1680 res., 660GTX (can't make MSI Afterburner to work here but I have tearing which means that framerate is higher than monitor refresh).
So far the verdict is: a very good game.

Holy shit, not even 30 minutes in and I already had at least 5-6 heart attacks ..this game is so damn creepy and atmospheric.
Very detailed graphics (and thankfully good performance here with the 3DM release + Ali crack 64bit), stellar sound effects, smooth animations, excellent level design, everything's great so far.
It's a more "dynamic" Amnesia, only without the puzzles (but you still have to explore and find/activate stuff in order to proceed). What a nice surprise.. I need new pants though.

It is a feature. Creature blinded you, now you have entered binaural mode and should use sounds for orientation.

The only thing that made me jump so far was:
Spoiler: | the guy in the wheelchair when you leave the security room |
I don't think the game is scary compared to something like Penumbra or Amnesia, but it has good atmosphere.

Getting 30 fps max @ 1080p with a GTX690 (tried no SLI vs SLI, no difference) and a Core i7 @ 4.2 ghz. Something is wrong. |

No issues here, so it's most likely isolated to his rig only..
Having solid 60 with outside ~55% usage and inside ~40% usage on the card..
Are you 110% sure that it's turned off tho Yondaime?
Maybe you got some forced AA (globally) via NVCP enabled and you forgot about it?

It's a shame that enemies are even lamer than Amnesia. You can literally run into a room and hide, and they will just walk into the room and then out.

Okay, I'm trying the game right now and it works great pretty much completely locked 60 - I won't say perfectly because even for me, two 570s and 4.4Ghz i5, I have to turn shadows down to high else it drops into the 50s - so there's definitely something wrong there for you. Are you running the x64 executable? If so, are you also running a RivaTuner-based tool such as RivaTuner, Afterburner or Precision? Then make sure you have applied your 3D profile manually when running the game as x64 binaries aren't supported by RivaTuner so it doesn't detect and enable 3D profile - I had terrible performance at first when running 64bit, it was 22-30fps but it was fine in 32bit mode.
I really don't like the film grain though, it's distracting and ugly. I'm going to have to tweak a bit and see if it can be disabled.
~edit~
I don't think SLi was working properly, so I followed the tweaks on this page;
http://steamcommunity.com/app/238320/discussions/0/846963710882403896/
Now I have 2xMSAA/2xSGSSAA enabled, SLi profile created and everything on highest - runs 60fps near constantly.

Still sabin, why would you need to drop shadows down to high?! Your dual 570 should outperform my 770?!
