It should be pretty fun at launch, if they don't have any epic crashing bugs. Very Happy

I'm already looking forward to mods that change the unit cards and get rid of the purple tint.

Because the release gets closer I prepared myself with gameplayvideos and the reading of several AARs and now I´m a little bit uncertain. Gameplay is looking really streamlined. The province and city overview seems somehow "empty". It´s lacking a lot of data and facts. At first I thought it´s just tidy but the more I see I´m getting nervous Sad I didn´t see a single economy screen or something that would remind me that I´m actually playin a game where I have to manage an empire. The city building screen even reminds me in an online facebook game. Any thoughts to share?

Confused

I checked the Steam website but it seems it'll unlock at the same time worldwide.

I also found out that the UK gets a decent discount on the game for some reason.

(And Australia pays a higher than standard price as usual - http://store.steampowered.com/app/214950/?cc=au No idea what the idea behind that is.)

Notionally the argument is matching the bricks and mortar retail price to avoid undercutting them. Except I dare say you'd be lucky to even find a local store selling a boxed copy. Even were that the actual case, it has been show that the wholesale price of games in Oz is kept artificially high by publishers anyway (WS price here is higher than retail price in the US). Even with a small premium to cover currency fluctuation and larger shipping/distribution costs, they could radically slash the cost of physical games here if they wanted to. The reason they don't is simply because there is no pressure to do so. It's the established price and the market has continued to demonstrate a willingness to pay it.

Not sure if I already posted a link to this, but it's relevant to the AU pricing conversation.

I'm not surprised in the slightest by the bad KI. I actually expected it. It's sad but nothing new. Yet, the TW games are always fun nonetheless.

Wasn't the previous games also somewhat criticized for the AI system? Kinda weird if it got worse, heh maybe they removed the additional buffs and other such bonuses that the AI gets on higher difficulty levels. Razz

EDIT: Then again the various barbarian tribes probably aren't know as much for their intelligence than for their ferocity. Razz
(Although I guess Egypt and Persia - amongst others - should be able to offer some actual resistance.)
