x360 version
no zoom option sadly the camera is changed but hard to put the finger on what they did exactly all i know is that its good =) , but the game is way better. i have roughly 500 hours on the pc version and 1 of each class, 3 at paragon 45+. just so you know where im coming from
i think the droprate/goldrate needs to be adjusted tho, im playing on medium difficulty now and when i hit the end of act 1 (level 14ish) i still have some lvl 3 gear wich is bad bad bad since i now get 3 shot from anything, so imma have to go back and farm for some gear
that and a super bad crafting UI, but thats about it, the rest is golden. the controls are super tight, the new UI is superb, stuff doesnt drop as much but when it does its almost always useful
and the gear seem to have been reworked, lotsa new pieces and stats have been fixed , i havent gotten any wierd combos like str on a wand and so on.
also stores carry alot of yellow's now @ pretty cheap prices (compared to pc) but as i stated the problem is the gold income is also very slow and the droprate is also a tad too low
however i expect a day one titleupdate
edit: this is playing a wiz (wich is a bit more sensitive with the gear)
edit2: gah im an idiot, titleupdate 1 is already out, and it seems they have tweaked difficulty a lil, im able to progress again

Seriously. What Blizzard has done to PC version of this game is a fucking disgrace.
I played it with my buddy of mine last night for few hours.
And it sucks because us PC gamers got a shitty console port while console version is much better. It's just so fluid and UI is well done, from switching gear and skills. What sucks even more, all the skills revolve around having use of controller, which is just retarded. I hate to to say this but Blizzard obviously spent more time on developing the console version instead of PC. It sucks because Blizzard once was a great gaming PC company which turned to shit with D3. While items are still shitty in terms of affixes but items that drop are actually useful you class you are currently playing. Killed Skeleton King and got about 2-3 rare upgrades from him :\
I still can't believe that I am going to say it but the game is plenty of fun on consoles.

What difficulty are you all playing at? Seems normal and above are overtuned for my taste
I tried at Normal-Normal and Skeleton King just kept one shooting me, which was quit stupid, had to switch Easy and it was pretty easy.

Uh, what? Just how old is your PC?
A 5-6 year old system can run this at 1080p maxed out with over 50 FPS just fine, at least after the first patch (vanilla game had some memory leaks).
| Quote: | | Im not really a graphics whore:P |
Graphics whores weren't satisfied. Technically it looks like utter shit for a 2012 game. Textures are horribly low resolution particularly. Add to that the lack of MSAA (vaseline yay ). Designed well enough, but the technical implementation is just embarrassing.
If this only does 40-50 FPS on the PS3, Blizzard did a piss poor job of it. Like I said, a 5-6 year old PC can easily drive this maxed out close to 60 FPS, so with toning a few effects down there's nothing in this game that would prevent the PS3 (or 360's) hardware from running it at 60 FPS. Especially because it's running at fucking 720p.
Maxed out: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/diablo-iii-performance-benchmark,3195-5.html - 1280x1024 -> 550 Ti = GTX 260-level performance, which came out in June 2006.
Minimum just for reference: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/diablo-iii-performance-benchmark,3195-4.html
So even after fucking up the game itself so royally, all the problems with the PC version, they didn't get this right?
Edit: Sabin just linked me a screenshot. Holy shit, the textures have been reduced even further, not even vaseline and it STILL doesn't do a steady 60?

Yeah, the visuals for the PS3 version are terrible, there really is no reason or need for it. Still, as I said on Skype; I'm going to play the SHIT out of it on my PS3 once I've finished GTAV and BEYOND. The controller gameplay actually feels like it could be a great fit (I'm a huge sucker for Snowblind RPGs on PS2) and the better loot, no AH and no online requirement seals it for me. By all rights I should be GIVEN a copy of the PS3 game for being a midnight launch'er of the broken-ass PC version, but oh well, thanks DUPLEX!
I mean it too. I loved the BGDA series, loved FO BoS, loved Champions, so that's how I'm going to play Diablo 3 on PS3. At least now I don't have to deal with the game being designed purely for AH and I'm not forced online.

I play it really far from my TV, so I didn't even notice the textures were shittier and the AA that terrible (on PS3).
Having played the PC version fully maxed in 1080p a lot (as Werelds said, even shitty PC can run it, mine did !), I wasn't disappointed by the PS3 graphics honestly. I think because sabin plays it on his PC Monitor, he can really spot the différences.
Only issue with playing far from my TV is I can't read shit...
But all in all, the rest is 100% better than PC, the game still runs between 40 and 60fps, depending of the intensity of the scene, so it's not too bad. I prefer this than a 30fps vsync honestly.... Believe me, if PC gamers would be able to trade this version, even for a lower resolution, they would do it, because this version is MILES better than the PC version, which I didn't like at all.
This version is what Diablo 3 should have been all along and now I'm almost hoping that the new expansion will come out real quick on PS360 rather than PC, because I know I want to play it on console.
What a shame honestly, but oh well, I'm glad I didn't pay a cent for the PC version, since I used a friend account, but the PS3 version is almost, ironically, worth buying....
For 4.8GB or so (after ripping foreign languages), this is a must have on a hacked PS3, even if you hated the PC version, trust me (this comes from a die hard diablo 2 fan, and someone who played for D3 on PC for a few months).
The evade feature is really nice, although maybe imbalanced

Well he is right.... But I guess he is too harsh on Diablo 3.... I was expecting a lot worse honestly. This is far from being the crappiest port ever, I expected a 30fps lock, because that's what you expect on console nowadays, and they still tried to make it smoother...
I also expected it to be unplayable on a gamepad, but I was pleasantly surprised. It feels smooth, the evade feature is really great and a perfect compensation for the lack of a proper mouse. The spells are easy to access, and you can customize their assignation.
I know it's supposed to run on shitty hardware, but I also know that the game is out on OSX for 1.2y now, and it still isnt on par with Windows.... Blizzard could have chosen the easy path and lock it at 30fps but they didn't.
Oh and as sabin said, this game should be free for PC owners, better yet, they should just patch the PC version to make it console, and even add gamepad support. We all know this will never happen because they are stubborn, but I Wonder how they can look themselves in the eyes when the very same developpers have 2 versions of the very same game, where 1 is tons funnier, and yet still REFUSE to make them 1:1.
This makes me go

Blizzard could have certainly garnered a lot of good feeling if they'd matched the two platforms, instead of just pissing in PC gamers' faces and releasing a far superior, if not visually at least physically, version of the game on consoles. They're talking about "Loot 2.0" right now but that won't be out until "fuck knows when" in 2014, meanwhile PS360 gamers - and, soon, PS4 as well - get to play the definitive version already, only this time without the infestation of that god awful AH/RMAH and online requirement.

Some, maybe. I know a lot of people (myself included) who won't bother with the console version nor with the patch for the PC version because Blizzard fucked up so badly. They've shown zero commitment to delivering; consoles getting a version with at least a better loot system before the PC gets it patched is just yet another slap in the face.

As much as I'm disgusted with Blizzard (but that's ever since WoW and a few patches after shipping), and never expected to pirate any of their game back then, I think they are punished enough in my case by not having a single penny from me, and happily pirating Diablo III and StarCraft 2 (although only single player obviously for SC2).
I'm not sure I hope for a WarCraft 4 anymore, because I know I'll be disappointed with its obvious requirement : pay2win, in app purchases, online only, no single player, no LAN, DRM, and what not....
Or maybe I'll pay the definitie version of WC4 on a PS4 with a dual shock 4

@ Cyclone: Yeah well, I and every other Diablo 2 player expected them to at least deliver on Diablo 3, since SC2's MP was at least solid. The SP there is still disgusting with the split release, but I at least expected D3 to be built properly. Instead there were server issues at launch, no MP other than coop and a base game that was not just altered heavily from the original, but made inferior to that and all of its clones.
So maybe I am bitter about Diablo 3, yeah
The franchise is just dead to me now if I'm honest.

To each his own but I thought SC2 MP was a downstep from SC1 (well no it wasn't, but it was because it was out 10 years later or so and it felt like StarCraft 1 HD rather than what WarCraft III was to WarCraft II).
But let's not debate on this, because that's not the topic Just wanted to add this so you can really understand why to me Blizzard is dead, at least on PC... There was a time I was hoping for their future games, but now I'm not.
Diablo III on PS360 reassured me............................ on the ability of Blizzard to develop console games

Gameplay wise at least I guess. We'll see what the future brings, because now that Blizzard has done it, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some of the other (better) ones do console versions too
Imagine SC2 vanilla on consoles with the no-vsync-or-FPS-cap menu; they'd have to dub it the YLOD-/RROD-Instigator
