I'm getting the same as well now. I was lucky to get the screens I got I guess. Bummer. It's like FFXIV all over again

When you get the Webget error, you just need to let it sit. It'll pick back up again on its own.

Patching as well, speed started off fine at 7 megs but it's slowed down to 1.75 now
Oh well, I'm working anyway *cough*

Well it's timing out once it's trying to load the hangar. I must admit, I like the design and sound.

I got in.
Even with the rendering errors, lack of AA (need to try later with some SMAA) and anti-me settings (bloom's set too high...and DAT MOTION BLUR - both fixable via the console though), this is how CE3 should be used
There's a few shit textures I came across, but the level of detail overall is pretty fantastic, at least on my 350r. Which really does look as awesome as I had hoped
The animations also look great...when they work

Ooof. Runs like ass on my 760. Trying to move the control column brought it to a complete standstill. This thing is going to take some serious horsepower to run during a multi-ship dogfight. Good thing it's not due out for a couple of years.

They've already said its not optimised at the moment and that they'll be patching it to run better. The final game will be nowhere near as demanding.

I had no issues with my 680. Unfortunately the PrecisionX overlay wouldn't work so I don't know my actual FPS :/

Yeah I had some issues with Fraps. It indicated that the framerate mostly seemed to be hovering around the mid-30s, but on a number of occasions, most noticeably when sitting in the cockpit, the counter seemed to freeze, despite the actual framerate obviously being in the single digits.

Yes, I gathered it wasn't optimised and I don't doubt they will improve it. Still, multiple ships at high settings zooming around at a decent framerate is going to take some horsepower, regardless of the level of optimisation.

Watching all the video materials regarding this game, I hardly see any need for extremely powerful hardware there.
Of course, the dev. status, which is pre-alpha kinda makes sense to run bad. But, apart this, I see this sys. req. "anguish" quite unjustifiable.
I really hope this doesn't becomes a pretentious tech demo despite it's presumably good gameplay. Each time I hear CryEngine in a context I can't help raise an eyebrow and expect a good slice of marketing bullshit.

4 hours later I got in one more time, this time with SLi/AFR forced in the nVCPL, and performance was 10fps. Jesus.... Oh well, delete, I'll come back to it when the game is finished.

I finally managed to get in, seems to work right now.
46-50 fps 1080p Very High.
This is only with one i315p in the smaller hangar though.

Now it finally loaded and there's no server issues, it looks like performance is better, but not with SLi enabled - forcing that cripples performance.
Framerate is now 36, 35, 31, 19 on Low, Medium, High, V.High on a single 570, lower to 720p and it's 60, 55, 50, 30.
That motion blur is horrible though... wow.. it's just... why?
~edit~
Forcing Crysis 3 SLi compatibility bits fixed everything, earlier I was just forcing AFR modes since SC doesn't yet have its own SLi profile - that crippled performance immensely >_<
60, 60, 55, 40 on 1080, dropping to High is 55-60. No need to go down to 720 now

I'm definitely switching these out for a single 7970 when I get the chance, that thing really is a freaking beast.

The hangar runs fine on my machine. Sort of annoying that 1080p is the max resolution and the key-bindings are driving me nuts. But i'm sure they will add the ability to change the keybindings soon (i hope cause i fucking hate/can't use the aswd control method, i use asdf instead)

These are stock though, can't OC them on what very little power is left, a singly 7970 can be pushed immensely - and then simply paired down the line. It's either that or a 680, they're both dropping in price all the time.
