I have the Constellation, the Gladiator, and the Retaliator. I hope the latter two are behemoths hehe. I'll take some ss's and post them if they are available in this round, which I hope they are!

Nope.
Aurora, 300i, Hornet, Freelancer, and Constellation. And hopefully their variants (i.e. 315p, 325a and 350r for the 300-series), but they're not sure whether they can manage that for the initial release.
Gladiator is relatively small, Retaliator is about the same size as Constellation

From what ive been reading so far about this game the gist of it is that u pay/fund the game through kickstarter, it gets funded by A LOT and then the creators pay u back by asking more money in order to "fully enjoy" the game?

Looking at the store is not "reading" about the game.

If you *actually* read *anything* you would've seen that there are still more stretch goals to hit. Every time they reach one, they come up with something new to add to the game. Now you may or may not have faith in whether the money actually does go towards the development, but from what we've seen, it does. The motion capture stretch goal for example definitely paid off.
All the money that comes in via the store now, be it new or old backers, goes towards those stretch goals. And we've already hit some pretty awesome ones. The next one for example will give everyone who has pledged now an engine upgrade.

Well, to be completely honest, the motion capture thing might have been something they wanted to add all along. It's really quite impossible to know. You really can only have faith in the developers. I've grown to be too suspicious after all the shit that's been happening these last years :/

@ kenny: of course it's something they wanted to put in anyway. Having the money now allows them to do so already without having to compromise. Getting things motion captured isn't cheap.

And you guys HONESTLY think 16mil is not enough for a game? You HONESTLY believe the total game cost, adding everything from production to distribution (which will be handled elsewhere hence costs allocated elsewhere), is going to be equal to that amount?

CR said he needed at least 20mil to develop the game to the initial state.
Given how expensive games are to develop these days, and how large Star Citizen is - Yes, they need that money.

That.
Difference between this and pCARS for example is just that there's bonuses for donating.

COD HAS 300m BUDGETS
In all seriousness though?
$70k per employee (and no, $70k is not overestimating, trust me), per year - let's assume 2 years for now (although it's really 3, since they started in 2011). 16000000/140000 = 114 people for 2 years. And that's not including rent, outsourcing the website, utility costs, and so on - all for 2 years. And one of the stretch goals was to actually build their own sound studio, which is a larger one-time investment but in the long term will be cheaper than renting one for limited time. And they have that now.
I think you underestimate it hugely. The budgets reported for CoD, Halo and such are plain lies, but between 25 and 35 million is pretty normal for an AAA title (DICE and Valve reportedly spent somewhere in that region on pure development for BF3 and HL2)

Yeah ok keep donating but still, the ships will be available anyfuckingways. And it's better to work hard for those fuckerships than just have them at the beginning. I wouldn't like it and I don't like the bitches that have the big ships at the beginning. Especially those Freelancer and shit animals!

Seriously are you 16 or so? Try to communicate in a lesser juvenile way. I don't mind a fuck here or there, but you are taking away the effect a proper fuck has...
Also... it makes you sound like a social reject rather than the 'cool' you are trying to pull off.
(And please read proper, I said make you sound not saying you are...)
*Edit* Sorry for the bump Sabin
