(I can't preload either so it seems nothing happened.)

Unsure how big the game is, maybe the Steam info website has some details?

Well download with 100MBit+ connection and 30 sec to copy rld emu. 1-2 Min for archive. No wonder.

Well... intros can be skipped. That's commendable. Laughing I hate when intros can't be skipped which seems to be quite often nowadays and I have to watch them every time I launch a game

PS Am I tripping Very Happy or the whip's animation looks different from the one demo had? Worse actually.

PPS arrgghh.. fixed camera is frustrating..

wich release is an ISO Version (instead of the full ,STEAM unlocked one...) ?

This game could do with some SSAA or anything really, default blur AA is not really usable and SMAA didn't help much either.

Can't decide if the game looks good or bad but it looks pretty stylish at least, lots and lots of motion blur and such though. Razz

























(Can't even really tell where the pre-rendered movies begin and where the game engine kicks in other than the intro movie.)

i get blackscreen after the logos, all i can see is the press enter and can navigate trough the menus but cant see shit lol

Any overlay or such active?
(MSI, Fraps, Steam and so on.)

Could also alt-tab and see if any odd codecs are being used with the game, unsure if the background is 3D or a movie file.

Overriding any settings via the GPU control panel might also cause issues but I'm not seeing any problems here.

Also are you using any injectors?
(They should be fairly compatible however.)


Just some advice to try, kinda hard to troubleshoot and give a direct solution for PC since there's so many configurations and stuff. Smile


EDIT: Heh game data is 6 GB and video data is 8 GB.

Does the demo use a different exe name? try renaming the game exe to that and see if it's a driver profile issue. Smile
(Or check the folders and such in case the demo config files are interfering with the full version, it shouldn't since the main files are in the user folder in the Steam folder and set to the AppID which differs between the game and the demo but there's a folder under AppData\Local\MercurySteam with some .PCConfig file in it, like the other config files however it's encrypted and can't be edited.)

but in all seriousness, when i played it originally on 360 it was one of the best looking console games. some great looking levels in the game.

I like the art style and direction, dark and dramatic (gothic?) but it's hindered by poor textures and shader effects, stylish but not very high-end or whatever I should say. Very Happy
(I wasn't expecting DX11 with full tessellation and PhysX either though and it's really fun to play so I'm satisfied - this game actually uses PhysX but of course none of the GPU specific effects.)

EDIT: And lots of motion-blur, makes things appear fast and hectic but it's not a very pretty effect otherwise.

EDIT: Yeah the level design is definitively solid. Smile


EDIT: Come to think of it it's similar to Dark Souls once the resolution issue was corrected, very well crafted design but also a bit basic but otherwise a very solid game with great artistic style and such.
(Visuals are nice to have of course but to me they don't make or break the game but it can be jarring what with the high amount of aliasing to name one thing.)


EDIT: (Quite a few of these in this post.) But nothing beats the Ironman and Hulk ports which instead of the X-Box 360 were from the PS2 platform, kinda hard to make it worse than that.
