Legit version runs fine on my system, all maxed out. Maybe something to do with your SLI set-up?

Well, the game crashed and it seems like no progress were saved so I guess this is where it ends for me since it has 0 replayability value and wasting another 2 hours to read and check all the stuff again I don't want.
Curious, though.

There was also a note written by Sam about her first sexual encounter with Lonni, I only managed to get halfway down the page before Katie put it back and say "Nope! I'm not reading any more of that" and wouldn't pick it up again :rotflmao:

impressed overall
disappointed in the end
Spoiler: |
I loved the supernatural theme with Oscar and I thought that was the gist of the game: the house.
Anyone found out why was the house "psycho" ?
I was disappointed that it turned out to be a story about young rebellious girls.

I kind of get the disappointment -
Spoiler: | it sets itself up as a more realistic Amnesia, but there's nothing supernatural at all. I think it might be the kind of game where you have to go in knowing what it is not, so you don't get the wrong impression. I went in knowing it was all about Samantha, so it got to a point where I thought she had killed herself, and I started racing through the house. Just as exciting as Amnesia is, to me, but in a very different way. |

Yeah, this exactly! I had the same feeling at the end and felt that the whole thing was really exhilarating. Very good experiment, very unique.

the only thing i found ODD was the missing Hi-Fi equipment : SNES missing in Sam room , that is in the trailer , VCR missing and other thing
Spoiler: |
guess you cant have those models in your game when your product goes retail
and i think the 20$ they want is a good price , the amount of work they put in this is WOW but i have ONE BUT ... the only thing that sucked was the bicycle model they used ... it was so low polygon then the other stuff it was funny
but yeah , i liked it ... first you are outside ,then you are in side , then you find secret rooms in this house and then suddenly some lights start to flicker , some explode when you have that cross near them [you know what cross ] ... you hear a faint "Hello" near the stairs ... even the glass of milk that suddenly happens and moves... was ... then you find a wigi board... F it ... lesbian Sam story it is ... oh wait Her Dad was Sexually molested ... His wife cheats on him with Rick.... oh boy ... F it ghost ... hey why is that kids horse toy suddenly on this old safe ... what the code ... hey whats that lever doooooo... wait he bought a pharmacy ?... whats that a paper under that book self... oh a prescription with a safe code... F you ghost i wunt sam lesbian story NOT YOU
indie GOTY
but after the end this game made me sad
there was a STRONG storm outside ... with FLOOD WARNINGS and well... the car she drove was leaking fluid [break fluid ?] ... |

I had a big problem with the game during my playthrough, the performance was really shit, the fps was really low, and the funny thing is that my VGA just went crazy loud, louder than ever, no matter the graphics settings, even with Vsyinc on it just went off the charts. I read on Steam that some others have this problem too, maybe it's unoptimized a bit?

It's definitely unoptimised, it took my pair of 570s to sustain 60 at 1080 and even then.. sometimes.. just sometimes.. it would dip below 60. It reminds me of Anna, another similar "exploration" game, and that crippled the fuck out of a single 570 with the candy enabled, same with the recent indie scare'em'up where you have to use a mobile phone to see the enemies - I gave up trying to play that due to dodgy performance.

I have a single 580 GTX, with everything turned off and set to low, the fps was the same as on high (20-30). Oh yeah and there was definitely some VGA overheating, I almost thought that my rig would blow up any minute now lol, it was that loud. Something is very wrong with the game.. it's a shame because I enjoyed it immensely.

Something to do with Nvidia cards, maybe? My single 7950 blitzed through it at max.

It could well be an nVidia issue, I don't recall many people screaming about the, frankly disgusting, performance in Anna that I encountered - but yeah, like beyondthesun; in Anna I was lucky to break 30fps on a single 570 and on a pair of 570s Gone Home sometimes dipped below 60.

Someone didn't follow the story carefully, eh? I suggest to re-read some notes and you will get explanation.
As for VCR - what VCR?

Oh yes, that one is weird indeed. But lack of SNES is explained by the story.
