The game is good looking with the HD pack. The gameplay is typical Splinter Cell, if you like the others, you will like this one too.

A question, if anyone knows: I have a RGH x360 that doesn't have an internal HDD. I use a USB hdd where I just copy the games (extracted or in GOD format) and launch them with FreeStyleDash.

How do I go about installing the HD texture pack? Any particular procedure or position where to copy it? How does it work? Never used one before...

You have to extract the HD Textures, and move that on your console like you would with DLC.

God damn it. 2 discs and texture add-ons... too lazy to hassle with the HD textures, and frankly this doesn't look like it's worth 16Gbs on my HDD. :/

Would a USB key formatted by the 360 itself work as well? If the HD pack is treated as DLC it should... I will try.

you can also truncate it and use the mp3 ghetto trick like with all other x360 games except for dragons dogma.

with newer games you mostly get the disc authorization error within seconds of starting a truncated game.
this can be remedied by starting any .mp3 track from a usb stick and then loading the game.
after ca. 5 min you can stop the track already, the game wont give you a disc auth error.

With an ODDE like the Xk3y you just hit the eject button on the console then browse to the second disk image and away you go.

not sure if my game is installing the HD texture pack. i start disc 2 and it asks me if i want to install the pack and that i need 3 gb free, after i select yes it goes right into the game (asks for disc 1 first but my jtag switches it automatically). their is no progress bar and it loads the game instantly.

so i restarted the system and started disc 2, it asked me again if i want to install the HD pack i said yes and again the game starts instantly, its too quick for any installing to take place.

anybody getting the same problem?

edit: also getting same problem when i try to start with disc 1, it asks me if i want to install the pack i say yes, it then says insert disc 2 which my system does instantly, and then a second later says switch to disc 1, which again is automatic.

arghhhhhhh so frustrating thought i was about 2 play but il wait to see if more people have my problem

So if you use the game in GOD packs it will take that into account and use the HD textures without installing them?

I ended up ripping the ISOs with x360 ISO extract, extracting the texture packs, merging the DVD1 and DVD2 files into one folder, copying that to the external HDD and uploading the HD textures DLC pack to the internal.

All that hassle to save space, thinking I would need to extract the HD packs and copying it to the internal HDD anyway, otherwise it would not use it. Confused

LE: Btw, ended up saving 6 GBs; the game is ~8 GBs on ext HDD and another 2.8 GBs on internal HDD. Very Happy

yes i see that file, can i directly ftp that file somewhere on the xbox? which folder exactly?? you guys are saying since i have disc 2 in god format that its already using the hd textures?

but if so why does it ask to install the pack every time i start the game? sorry im still a bit of a newbie when it comes to this, iv been used to iso2god handling all the work of extracting and ftping.

edit: i see that file in the xbox image viewer but i do not see it on my xbox, im guessing cuz god format is diffrent.

Extract Disc 1 put in your External/Internal does not matter.

Extract Disc 2 , copying the file

000000000000/555308B6/00000002/EE6AD050002B5EEB981B7E5A0F7F7B6F90F85B8855

to internal via Content Manager only it would create appropriate folders on console or copy the 2.8GB file correctly to above path.
