How can this be achieved?
Can I use Wake on LAN with Teamviewer or something? Need to be able to access uTorrent/jdownloader/whatever else
I can connect via iPhone or Windows 8 machine (work) to Windows 8 machine (home)

i use utorrent remote... there's an app on the android market. On ios devices you just log into utorrent remote website.
for usenet i still haven't found a good utility.

you could use dropbox. Simply install it on your download server and smartphone. then setup utorrent so it runs automatically if you drop a torrent file in a certain folder in dropbox. Its really easy and can be done on any machine/device with dropbox.
Dont mess with God, he can impregnate your girlfriend/wife without taking his pants off!

SABNZBd? Or just any program that can monitor a folder (for NZB, torrent, whatever you want), add a tiny webinterface to that folder and add, easy as a pie.
PC: Yes. Console: No.

yep, sabnzbd with web service and a free no-ip.org dns, sorted.
i manage and start all my downloads with my smartphone on the go.

CouchPotato + SickBeard + SabNZBd = go away for 2.5 weeks and come back with 100+GB worth of stuff to watch waiting for you
