EDIT: Oh and yeah turn off the advertisements in UTorrent if you plan on still using it. Smile

the only thing better than uTorrent is older version of uTorrent. so just downgrade and enjoy the best torrent client.

i tried them all basically and nothing comes close to uT.

transmission

http://www.transmissionbt.com/

there is a ported win version but I do not know if it's any good. linux version is best bittorrent client ever Very Happy

- Transmission doesn't bundle toolbars, pop-up ads, flash ads, twitter tools, or anything else.
- It doesn't hold some feaures back for a payware version.
- Its source code is available for anyone to review.
- We don't track our users, and our website and forums have no third-party ads or analytics.

In separate benchmarks, Linux Format and Lacrocivious both found Transmission to use less CPU than any other GUI client. It even used less CPU than some non-GUI clients.

utorrent is the best client imo. It only takes a minute or two to remove the ads.

sorry but you can hate that utorrent are sellouts, their client is still the best and nothing comes even close. but since you can disable all ads etc it's not so bad.

just saying it's the best without giving proof will not convince rational human beings

why is it considered to be the best client?

whats most annoying with this fucking program is if you download a torrent with lots of files in it and set priority "high" on something, you can be sure as fuck that that file will be the last in the torrent to be completed. Annoying as hell.
