This. Saying that something isn't atmospheric because it hasn't got voice acting is truly ridiculous, by the way.

They said the DLC will be more open, similar in style to the Genesis game (which was awesome).

Yes though I don't know how.

That's only for custom maps though. I wonder how it's done within the main campaign.

The main campaign is editable Smile HBS left the campaign content pack unlocked ready for editing/tweaking.

The campaign itself, yes, but I can't find any way to edit the available portraits. The link you posted, is for adding actors with custom portraits and has nothing to do with having your main character have a custom portrait. Any ideas?

Really liking the game so far, really hating the autosave feature. Had to play another 20 minutes or so to get to a check-point before I could finish and now go to bed. >.<

Ok, I can agree now that the checkpoint system is annoying cause the autosaves don't seem to occur frequently enough. Apart from that I'm really enjoying this! Smile

Just played the game for ~40 minutes because I couldn't resist, and I have to say, the first impressions are very positive. Razz It's exactly what I was expecting, with the great atmosphere, dialogues, music and even the xcom-like combat system (although a tad simplistic at times).

It's rough around the edges but definitely well-done and old-fashioned. Very inspired art-style and visuals too. It's not perfect of course, since there's basically no interaction with the environments, no quick saves, and somehow it feels like there's much more potential in this game to be unleashed, but I like it^^

1.800.000 for this?

Expedition conquistador was 10 times better and costs 77.000 !!
Only impesiles can tell that this is OK.

after 4 h or so, i find it below expectations, dissapinting its maybe too much; but no loot, no manual save, the few interactions with the world, the linearity of levels, maybe the not-so-complex combat, are just sad..

Five hours later, I emerge, blinking and groggy.. time for a shower and then bed, neh? This is friggin' awesome, very basic but shining due to the magnificent atmosphere and the engrossing writing Smile I cannot wait to see what the homebrew community can wring out of this editor - the earlier beta of "A Lost Lamb", the first released UCG, already showed off significant promise and it held a lot more interaction than what I've seen in the official campaign.

i dont really miss the loot at this point, maybe because i played too many loot-heavy games over the past year and just dont feel like digging through hundreds of items and comparing them to my equipment over and over, this tends to slow a game´s pace to a crawl - which is ok for dungeon crawlers, but not necessary in this kind of game imo.

yea, you have an inventory and can buy weapons, armor, consumables, spells etc., but enemies dont drop anything except for quest/side-quest items.

You can still buy armour, weapons, consumables and also buy/equip cyberware. You have a very small inventory (six slots iirc off the top of my head) for stims, medkits and grenades, a slightly increasing slot inventory for weapons (maximum of 3? 4?) and one for armour. You also have half a dozen slots for cyberware.

If the figures are true then yes i would be inclined to agree.

It feels like the devs wanted to make a simple game with 400k and that's what the game feels like, 1.8 m $ is a lot of money, its not on pair with project eternity and wasteland 2 budgets but close. And my expectations for those games are around 5-10x more than what this game offer...

Its not a bad game tho, kinda like it, but i really dislike that you cant rotate the camera and that the levels are VERY linear. (and also the combat seems kinda simplistic 1-2h hours in, this might change when you get more runners tho).

I hope this is not a benchmark for what you get per dollar for the other kickstarters, then i don't think kickstarting will survive.

Same here, game is incredibly shallow and stripped of even basic rpg features.

So, been playing as a purist mage and I've got a question that doesn't seem to be answered anywhere in the Glossary. What exactly does standing on "Ley Lines" do? It's some sort of buff, but what kind? Also, there seems to be big and small circles, any difference?
