To me, this has always been (and always will be) Tali. This was drawn during ME1 when she was first being designed, and when her appearance under the mask wasn’t a big deal yet.
Looks like a light-bulb or some such to me, I guess it also explains why she never really removed her helmet.
Ok, I've not really followed this thread, given I played the game, threw up on my keyboard at the endings.
Is it worth a replay with these new 'things' I keep seeing for the game, or will I still taste a little bit of vomit in the back of my throat at the end?

Play through it again with all the DLC, including the Extended Cut ending. As a personal recommendation, I would also advise to play it with the MEHEM. It removes an enormous amount of sucky bullshit from the finale.

Don't let the name fool you, it's not some happy-happy laa-di-daa bullshit, it really is a very good series of changes and - to me, at least - greatly improved on the shit we got.

I do like your straightforward and simple suggestions Did I not see something about an enhanced texture thing too?
TEXMod injection will however mean much longer loading times and a very long initial start up time, if you load everything up it'll take between 20 to 30 minutes before the game is fully started.
Yeah the work on the textures when compared to the original work is quite a improvement but loading 2048x2048 or 4096x4096 textures (Sometimes higher still.) via memory injection or replacement (I'm not 100% certain on how TexMod works.) is fairly slow which thus slows down the game while the program is injecting the code.
Unfortunately for UE3 there's no direct way of just unpacking a data archive and modifying the textures directly since the files are cooked or packed and spread out over several archives so it's the best way for now.
TexMod is also not compatible with DX10 or higher (Or 64-bit) though UMod seeks to improve upon this although when I tried it last time it was very unstable but it should be a good replacement once development gets a bit further and more stable revisions are released.

Has to be some happy kiddy bullshit, according to what biowarEA were saying about the people that didn't like the finale!

Here's what it changes, obviously there are spoilers;
Spoiler:
- It removes the catalyst scene. No ifs, not buts. It's gone for good. (So is your choice, you will now destroy the reapers no matter what)
- It introduces a whole new scene showing how Joker disobeys orders and keeps the Normandy in the fight long enough for Shepard to be rescued (with the help of a certain Alliance captain )
- The Normandy no longer crash-lands on the Weirdo Planet
- The Geth and EDI survive. EDI is now present during the memorial and new slides were added to the epilogue that will show the geth, if they are alive. All credit and thanks for the slides goes to areyouareaper!
- The epilogue slides now show survivors on the Citadel, most prominently Aria and Cpt. Baley. All thanks and credit for this new slide goes to Alienmorph!
- You will see your Shepard reunited with his crew (and even some interaction unique to your LI if the LI is part of the Normandy crew). While they don't exactly have a party, now it is a real bitter-sweet ending with the emphasis on "sweet" rather than on "bitter"
- The musical score is changed quite extensively, including the credits song
- Since by the time of v0.3, quite a few people have contributed to this mod, I implemented some MEHEM credits in the stargazer scene.
- Since v0.2, Harbinger will say a few lines during the beam run
THAT is how the game should have ended, if you ask me.
You should try it nonetheless, especially if you're in the mood for something entirely different. It's NOT happy-happy-joy-joy, it's a very bitter sweet ending but it works, it really does. I enjoyed that one immensely more than the trash Bioware tried to dribble into my mouth, that's for sure In my opinion the MEHEM was a wonderfully fitting end to the ME saga.
Yeah, I ended up with Liara in the "finale" and it felt right to see Tali and Garrus together, not sure why, but the fanservice in this vid was definitely.... yeaaaaah. All in all, I still prefer the MEHEM, it wasn't over the top super happy but was a nice bitter-sweet send off, though this 1hr+ monstrosity was REALLY well made nonetheless.
I'm not sure I'd agree entirely on the well made part. The virtually stop motion animation for all the bits done in XNALara (judging by the credits) were pretty rough and simplistic, making the cuts between them and stitched together game footage somewhat jarring. Still, it did lead to the occasional funny moment with expressions and such, like the drinking session on the Citadel and EDI bemoaning the lost magic on Rannoch. I gather he did that both to cut down the volume of work and presumably due to a lack of animation experience, but still, if you have the cheek to ask Bioware for a job at the end of your fan rehash of their game's ending, you are opening yourself up to a higher level of criticism.
