So my roommate was playing Red Dead Redemption and he wanted to switch to undead nightmare and since it was the standard retail version he got prompted to go to "System Update" and whoop dee doo - 4.46 OFMLFW...
I didn't get to finish the following titles which still resides on my hdd:
Injustice
The Last of Us
Twisted Metal
Whoop dee whoop. As Sabin & Werelds knows I've just changed the freakin' laser in it... 3 weeks of sweet CFW and now it's a oversized blu ray player with the capabilities to play overpriced games...

In this situation I believe murder is acceptable.

Don't suppose there's any downgraders near you who have the hardware to flash you back down to 3.55 or something? Will set you back a bit, but still less than 2-3 retail games

I don't even think there is a hardware solution for 4.46 yet... Hey if I'm lucky I'll be able to play The Last of Us by Christmas |
Yeah there is, your console shipped on a firmware less than 3.55 right? If so, someone with the right flashing hardware can just downgrade it

Jesus H Christ. I'd tell him that he owes you a new PS3, seriously, or at the VERY least he's paying for the downgrade - which ain't cheap from most places.

Mutantius wrote: | Yea actually I investigated it, it cost around 600 danish kroner which is nearly 100 euro. I'm seriously thinking getting a PS3 with a broken rail/laser and then switch around the parts. But a faulty PS3 is around 500 so not that much of a difference |
Not sure about Denmark, but here, even one with a broken laser on <=3.55 or on any CFW is still crazy expensive.
Just get him to pay for at least part of a downgrade

He kinda got it right though.
Just put my pc through a series of upgrades.
I've been lucky to buy fo: new vegas then have it crash every 20 minutes for no reason, as well as skyrim.
Rage has that pop-in issue no matter what i do to it, occasionally i also get some extremely low fps after loading a new map and have to reload the game.
In other words, i'm going back to my xbox and forgetting i ever spent that much money on a pc. -.-"

Download
Install
Play.
Same as JTAG ...... and yes, fuck you very much for yet again flaunting your awesome JTAG |
Applies to consoles as well? Except then it becomes:
Download/pop disc in
Install
Install
Install
Install
Install
.... Install some more
Hit Play
Patch
Patch
Install more assets
Finally, Play.

Let me just explain all of that with just one word: Bethesda.

new vegas is vanilla, bought off steam, skyrim i downloaded, and added a couple of mods, nothing conflicting though, i checked.. I just reinstalled the OS too, got on W7 64 bit now..
Wasn't aware rage has patches though, going to look into that one.
As for getting all 3, too expensive for me, going to wait for the new gen of consoles, then going to get the first one to get hacked ..

And then there's their DS3 versions which.. well
