This goes to all who are driving like assholes.
I heared about an accident like 10km from where i live.
It all happened on the 7th of July.
The only thing I thought was "oh god, hope they all are okay".

My parents told me yesterday that one of our friend had an accident.
They also showed me the article and the pictures from the car in the local news. (suedkurier)

Then i realized whats going on...
Look at the pictures and start to think about whats going on in my mind

This is the car of our friend, he was in the car with her wife.
 Spoiler:

This is the car wich caused the crash.
 Spoiler:

2 weeks have passed.
Our friend and his wife are still in the hospital.
They are fighting for there lifes.
2 weeks and there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

And this is why i'am so pissed.
The man who caused the crash is almost uninjured.
He doesnt have a family and he was in the car with 3 other people.

Our friend has 2 girls (9 and 13 years old)
Its so sad i just had to type it somewhere...

This is the reason why you should drive safe and not like a complete douche.
Think about others... what if they both die just because someone wanted to be cool and drive as fast as possible with 3 people inside ?

Wish them the best pls. I dont want to lose a friend like that.

Sad, hope your friends make it and are back on their feet and home soon. Sad

I knew people in similar situations (as yours, not the victims), and that sort of thing seems to happen a lot around here. I always hate it when I hear about these kind of things. Mad

Hopefully the authorities are doing their job. I assume that causing an accident like that, the guy should be punished pretty harsh. Unless he's some politician/police chief/other corrupt asshole in high power 's kid/nephew.

I wish your friends all the best mate, hoping that the guy responsible for this gets what he deserves.

Unfortunately most of these cases here are really punished only if there's alcohol/drugs involved, and even in that case, jailtime is often an excuse more than a real punishment. After 2-3 years they're all back on the roads :/

That's horrible. I would be so incredibly angry about that . I think the only thing I could hold on to is that the other driver just made a mistake, a stupid stupid mistake, like getting carried away with speed or showing off. I mean, who hasn't done that? and that he wishes he could do anything to take it back. Of course he can't.

I lost my brotherinlaw in accident. He was killed instantly. His wife really tried to hold onto anger because she said they were looking into speed but the guy was only going over 10 km. My brotherinlaw fell into traffic with his bike.

I just try to do my part and not drive like an idiot.

Around here stuff like that and worse goes unpunished. We had many car crashes with up to three people killed, including children, and the guilty drivers went free, no exceptions. They were given a symbolic punishment of up to 3 years in prison, but the actual prison time was always canceled by the judges. So basicaly they just went home.

Mens' overconfidence in their abilities is what usually causes shit like this.

Yes, that means YOU too.

Feels like we had this driving discussion just weeks ago.

Hopefully your friend will pull through.

Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.
