OK the ending was pretty =) Ending lines are like a movie, hell the entire game is like a movie, 6hrs is my gametime, didnt really rush it.
Damn, its more of an interactive movie than a game really, i havent seen a story like this since max payne (yeah i actually loved the story/voiceacting there). I AM HAPPY, too bad i didnt buy this, devs deserve their cash.
Made a Fahrenheit theme for my SE k750i lol, fuck looks nice with the snowed in city concept art and the clara-laying-on-eggcouch concept art!

Well thats not really a fair comment considering you haven't played the full game. For me, this contains too much mysticism for it to be as engaging as I would have liked. |
and why even compare those two?

Wow. Just wow.
I don't think there's anything I can say that hasn't been said already, but I'll give it a go.
I finished this today in one sitting, 4-12pm roughly.
Voice Acting: Top notch A+ voiceactors. Great performances by all. They put human feeling behind the characters.
Storyline: It doesn't get any better. I was completley immersed in it from beggining to end. I can't wait to replay this and do things different next time around. Although, I will admit, I don't think its going to be the same now that I know the bulk of it. Regardless, an excellent job was done in scripting/directing of the storyline. It was truly epic and mysterious.
Character Development: I felt as if I knew and could relate with every character I played. It's been a LONG time since a game has been able to engross me so deeply with the characters.
Music: Overall good (but not quite great) soundtrack. The main theme perfectly conveys the sense of sorrow, loss, and confusion faced via the main character though.
Cutscenes/Animations: Three points here. Excellent use of motion capture technology (see it being used in the unlockable bonus videos) makes for wonderfully fluid and lifelike animation.
Cutscenes are generally very well scripted and put together (the use of multiple windows makes for some really cool moments).
I applaud the devs. for having the balls to put in uncensored love scenes. They aren't raunchy, actually they are very tasteful in my opinion, and serve to just add more to the already engrossing story.
Camera Angle/Manipulation: By far the games weakest (and probably only) weak point. While they allow for a pretty wide manipulation, too many times I found myself not being able to see where the hell I was going, or being able to face a particular item. Its just too quirky, and requires too much work on the part of the gamer to keep up with, which in turn draws you out of the story.
Textures: A bit bland (due to console limitations no doubt), but turn up the res. and AA, and they serve their purpose very well. Not ugly by any means...but not as great as they could have been.
Controls: I for one enjoyed the button mashing sequences I think they scripted them into the action cutscenes pretty well, and its by far better to have them, than just watch the cutscene play out with no interaction on the users part. No nitpicks here.
Length: 6-8 hours give or take, with the possibility of 2-3 replays (a guess on my part), in order to see all endings/scenes. A bit short I will admit, but goddamn thats the best 8 hours I've spent infront of my pc in a long time.
I'm going out tomorrow and buying 3 copies of this. These developers, and this is rare now'a'days in the industry, actually EARNED and DESERVE the money and respect this fine title should bring them.
I'd sign over my first born to see a sequel to this. Or if not a sequel, another game such as this developed by the same guys, with a different plot. They clearly have what it takes.
Score: 93/100
And now I pose a question to you all:
Your thoughts on Carla Valenti.
I for one think she's got what it takes to unseat Lara Croft from the cybervixen gaming hall of fame

I thought the point of the .tdf file was so you didnt need the iso? but anyway, it looks like a clone, like with the .mdf, .mds files..still works though, good job

ok, i got this problem, so far, it comes, that there is 4 coloured thing on screen, green, blue, red and yellow maybe? but thats not the point! its says GET READY, and the colured things which look faded by default, got to flash up in different sequence.
now, i tried to follow the flash ups with the left/right/up/down buttons and its gave me that sound which, i suppose, means that it accepted my try, but just couldnt make it. always says failed. .s now anyone who succeded with those ones can tell me whats the souliton?
just that simple to react asap and follow the flash ups? and why is two of them those coloured things, i mean, 4 on the right side of the scrren and another 4 on the left :s
help:(

The solution is to look at the book the guy gives you and take note of the authors name. Then goto the 2nd floor desk to the side of the way you came in and note the number next to the authors name. Then go behind the desk in the centre of the room on the lowest floor and check the number to against the colour codes. You should then be able to locate it.
Although I have the PC version Ive been playing through on the Xbox and unless that puzzle is different or it randomizes, you should find it on the 3rd floor in the black colour section.
May the NFOrce be with you always.

I will buy a pair too.
And I implore anyone who liked this game as much as we do, to do the same.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

Ok, i'm stuck.
Kane as a kid...
Spoiler: | I'm at the air base and the kids are inside a hangar and I have to get over to the hangar to warn them. I jump the fence but I cannot get into the next area. I tried jumping in the back of one of the trucks, I tried running alongside the truck and going out when the barrier goes up but neither work. Only way I see in is through the main gates and I always get spotted. What am I doing wrong? |

Does anybody know what to do in the scene from lucas childhood ?
I climbed over the fence, yeah, I also crouched through the hole in the fence, but then i get caught everytime.
I tried to hide behind the car when it drives down, but this does not work for me.
"Stop or i´ll shoot"
The game is great, no question, but it would be even greater if there weren´t those damn "press the buttons as fast as you can"-sequences.
