+1 ... im in the same camp as you on that one - i mean theres bound to be enough old fecks that remember the REAL syndicate games (and yearn for a game with the same mechanics but with a modern lick of paint) to make their KS a surefire winner at getting full backing and hit alot of stretch goals..

Seems a bit bizarre that it's not going to make it (which, to be honest, is all but certain now). Maybe it's that it was a UK-based Kickstarter, so didn't get as much promotion as a US one? Sad

Updates were boring, devs chats can only take you so far. This project severely lacked in eye-candy department Sad

I don't back UK based Kickstarters because they require me to enter my credit card info into Kickstarter and I don't trust Kickstarter security. It's a shame but that's the way it is.

10 grand a day, every day? And that's in UK money. Put in to US $ and it looks even worse - a little over 120 grand all told. I'm not hopeful. Sad

I'm sure they'll make their target in the end, KS projects usually have a burst of activity in the last few days, but it is a shame it's doing so poorly Sad

Sorry, what exactly is different to KS than pretty much ever other 256bit online security on pretty much every online service there is? you think card numbers are stored in unencrypted text files or something?

Might the lack of interest in the game have something to do with the whole "good vs evil" concept and not about corp vs corp?

It's not necessarily a lack of interest. For me, I'm very interested. The features they list sound awesome.

But I don't think they pitched it well at all. I don't know these guys. And I'm a little weary that they're telling people what they want to hear without the actual ability to deliver what they promise. It's easy to list the perfect game on paper. And they have nothing to show but concept art. Their "the team" section on the kickstarter is one of the shortest sections.

Basically, I don't believe that they can deliver what they're promising. My interest in the game is high but irrelevant.

All those shots were only conecpt art shots using the unity engine. They were clips of how they imagined the game will look. There is no actual work done on the game. It was the equivalent of them painting a picture and saying this is how we want it to look.

They'll make their minimum goal. And their small team will choke under the pressure. They'll run out of money with half a game finished. Shadowrun, even though I'm still looking forward to it, has lessened my faith in the process. Over 4x what they asked for, pretty good sized team with experienced guys, and they're releasing basically Shadowrun Lite and six months late. So I highly doubt these guys will make their highly ambitious goals with a small and relatively inexperienced team.

I presume you guys are referring to this video, right?

Hell, I don't know if they pre-rendered some stuff or edited it with some voodoo magic, but it looks great. (except for the music Razz)

backed it for £16

Really like the look of the game, hopefully it'll be close to the devs idea of the kind of game they wanna make...

You've all gone way too fast for us! We were in the midst of getting the PayPal pledging ready to launch BEFORE we reached our goal but you've beaten us to the punch. We're still working on it and will have it up and running very soon!

Pledge through PayPal, all those who don't trust KS with their credit card details. Very Happy

Looks like they are really close to hitting the first stretch goal now, maybe even the 400.000 one for additional localizations. Smile
(440.000 one for additional destruction would be fun, I don't think it's going to get that far though but these last days might see a bit higher activity than usual.)

With all the news of sites getting hacked left and right, even with encryption of credit card info, I'm very cautious not to mention Paypal and Amazon have further protections if anything happens or someone happens to hack your account only to back an expensive project at the last minute. They don't need credit card info for that since you already added it to your account - see the difference?
