DCEU Flash star Ezra Miller didn't like the lighthearted comedic approach his would-be "Game Night" directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein were going to follow with this film (an approach which is favored by WB as they made a lot of money with the equally lighthearted Aquaman and Shazam! is also receiving positive buzz so far), preferring a "dark" tone for the film instead (sounds like a Snyder fanboy  ), and eventually he ended up asking WB to write his own script. WB agreed that he can give it a go and Miller partnered with acclaimed comic book writer Grant Morrison.
Their draft could be submitted to WB as early as next week.
If WB doesn't pick up his script, it's possible Miller will leave the project as his holding deal expires in May and he is free to do as he pleases after that..
One by one the DCEU stars are abandoning ship

I cannot think of much Morrison has done that I hated comic book wise so that could turn out better then a goofy Flash story as Barry Allen was always the more serious one and Wally West was the more joking Flash but I can see why DC would want the script from the original team they picked as they are the ones that wrote Spider-Man Homecoming

Both parties GTFO in the end. The directors that Miller conflicted with left the film behind, while WB also chose to not greenlight the "dark" script Miller and Morrison wrote.
A new script is set to be written by Christina Hodson, who wrote the upcoming Birds of Prey, also for DC, and the still on hold Batgirl. (BTW, I have heard positive word of mouth from early test screenings about Birds of Prey.)
It director Andy Muschietti is in talks to direct.
Ezra Miller continues to be attached to star.

I saw the video and to me it looks like Ezra is drunk and got a bit carried away with a joke:

He was drunk or drugged-out and playing around, she asked him to fight and when he started play-fighting she tripped and fell.
Are they gonna cancel the movie for that? Ridiculous, not that I care too much about some gayass provocateur with pronouns or some superhero movie.
