Seems interesting. McConaughey as a physicist is almost a typecast at this point.

I like him. I like his ability to move from a redneck character to a layer to a scientist to a religious nutcase. He's a good actor.

Unlikely. McConaughey + Hathaway = Shirt off
I wonder if Jodie Foster will play a religious zealot here.

Ahhh nice thread. Heard about this a few weeks ago and was instantly excited about it. Nolan+scifi+time travel= count me the fuck in!
Cast seems weird so far though even with only 2.

I'm veery interested! So far Nolan has never disappointed me (maybe except for Rises, though that was more because of TDK's awesomeness than the quality of the movie itself, which was still high).

Is there any other source than imdb for the cast (because it's not the most reliable)?
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"

I hope it's more than just a gimmick riding on this.
Rises had bane.
TDK had joker.
BB had batman (which was the weakest of them).
Inception had the hallway fight scene.
Memento was good.
Prestige was good.
Insomnia was good.
He went from quality story telling / directing to pretty much cinematic set pieces.
he got consolized
I do hope this one is good. As much as I dislike the nolanites for riding his dick constantly, he is a competent director who has recently fallen in the big scope projects (Big in scale but small in delivery)... he still managed to keep them tightly knit together.

I thought Inception was a lot more than just the hallway fight. It's definitely not worse than Insomnia.
So I think he still got it, maybe he performs better when he can do more with the material. I mean, Batman has an established universe with strict rules (established in BB), and almost everyone is somewhat familiar with it too. He does much better when he can built something up from scratch.

Damn, for a moment there I read McG and went like "Nooooooooooooooooooo...".
Then almost instantly, "wait, it's a Nolan movie!"

pretty much. the mirror scene wasn't as epic in the 5th viewing. you saw little mishaps with cg. some bits were off. the big battle was good, but not as memorable. the story was ok for a heist movie. the train was good. everything else was average. it was done as perfect as nolan could get. but it wasn't BIG enough for a dream movie. It had the potential to be even bigger. it was too realistic for a dream movie. too grounded. and when it got ungrounded it was actually epic. some parts were creative and nice, and some others were just there for the lulz.
but lithgow... well i'm set

Think I need glasses, saw something different than Nolan in the thread and was expecting lame duck, bunny and goofy drawings
