im definately going to hoard mine. hoping that after this whole sale mess is over, as long as valve doesnt REMOVE your cards, i think they should go up in value again since theres no way to get MORE after the sale is finished... hopefully.... |

way i figure it, is ive got like 30 mins to an hour after a game gets cards to try and sell them if i can... after that, the prices drop too quickly i may as well keep em and combine them  ive always been a bit of a collector, so i like the backgrounds and junk

Summer cards will definitely keep dropping (I'm thinking towards the 10c level that McPixel go for) as more people that vote acquire them with no interest in cards other than to put them on the market. Even those that want the badge will probably stop at the 100XP level.
But I noticed something yesterday, and that is the actual game cards say "Series 1". It will be interesting to see what happens when the first game gets "Series 2" cards - presumably S1 will no longer be distributed, which should see a spike in their prices, but probably not what people are hoping for. Valve would have to make a new badge for S2 so that the only way you could continue to get the S1 badge would be by buying up old cards, which in turn would reduce the number available on the market. Maybe this is why I'm seeing people set their cards at a ridiculous value - I'm talking more than the price of the game itself, as this way they can keep the cards out of their inventory until they want to come back much, much later and see what the cards are then worth.
Interesting distraction, but would be nice if Valce came out and said "We're still working on new games".
