The game's going to have proper modding support, so if you can't stand the default textures just wait a bit for some über HQ ones. Then get angry when the engine chokes. Razz

Looks like the game is delayed. Beta testing begins in October, the month the game was originally supposed to release. Cant say I'm surprised considering nearly every other Kickstarter has been delayed.

I paid 75 for the boxed copy and beta. Maybe it'll be leaked like the Grim Dawn alpha.

I doubt the delay will be long. And given that they are so far sticking to everything else they promised, it's acceptable for me.

It's not like the Shadowrun kickstarter where they got 4.5 times the money they asked for, didn't include half the features people assumed would be in a Shadowrun RPG, and are finally releasing it 6-7 months late.

I'll still play and probably enjoy Shadowrun but I don't think it will even be in the same league as Wasteland 2.

Why would you beta test a through and through single player cRPG anyway, and destroy the final experience for yourself with all those bugs and unbalanced content? Imho leave that to people who are paid for this and enjoy the final product in all its glory Smile

It's a good thing. Better to receive a polished product than a buggy one that would spoil your gaming experience.

considering the scope of the game it really is a good thing. Im happy that they can take the time they need without a publisher breathing down their necks.

To be completely honest, when has a delay ever ended up with a bug-free experience? Don't get me wrong, I want a polished and fun experience like the rest of you, but really.. that "we're delaying in order to polish" is just.. egh. Still, the game looks superb and I'm absolutely convinced it's worth the wait Smile

I agree developers should just consult with sabin every time they want to delay their game.

Well let's say buggy enough so the devs dare to shove it out the door. Wink

But I do have confidence in Fargo & Co. It's their labour of love and I'm positive they working their asses off.

Especially it being an RPG. Those are the games that are riddled with the most irritating bugs and it's inevitable.

Looks fucking awesome and shows how important is the quality of the dev team, and not only the amount of raised money (compare it to Shadowrun...). All it's missing are those amazing death animations from F1/F2 - 15 years have passed and no game can even come close to them, astonishing...
