You don't.
Just don't have steam active when playing isodemo version.
I would also recommend to keep two copies of civ5 folder from documents\mygames. One for playing steam version and one for playing BNW isodemo.

The SDK is broken with the release of BNW so you can´t generate maps with the world builder. On the other side it´s not possible to import the saved maps from the game because the world builder isn´t able to read them because it´s outdated.

I have the same thing installed. Original Civ5 with a few purchased DLC's and the G&K expansion.
I download the 3dm release of BNW and copied over the updated files into my steam game. Use the crack to play and its all working fine.

Maybe when its $10 its worth it. Its a good expansion but not worth the price of a new game.

Hmmh... I'm launching the Civ5 via VPN in steam, and it downloaded the new expansion, but when I get into the game, it still shows all Gods & Kings logos...
Also I can see in the DLC menu, the Brave new world, but it's disabled, and if I enable it, and leave the menu, and open it again, it's again disabled.
Any clues?
I'm still using the vpn, and I have restarted steam.
EDIT:
Oh carp, bought it from steam (no vpn) so I guess they're differentiating between the NA and ROW versions... so vpn wont help me unlock this early

You need the CvGameCore_Expansion2.dll file. This happened to many people (including me), it's a problem related to steam servers reporting being too busy.

The expansion is awesome it makes the game much more complex and satisfying, mainly because it gives you more control and detail over a ton of stuff thet felt kinda simplified before. However, it seems that the game was also made a bit easier in the process, basically because now there's more ways to make gold. Right now in the game I started on tuesday when the expansion was released (turn 330, with the Shoshone), I'm literally dominating the other 7 civs on my Standard size/time match on Prince. I'm #1 in every single category (military, culture, diplomacy, science, ecnonomy), I kicked Attila's ass when he tried to bully a couple of my city-states, I have 13 out of 16 ally city-states and I already got passed a resolution in the second world congress where my religion ("Ley Maya"  ) was approved as "world religion"  and I'm sure you can imagine the shitload of benefits that came with that.

At first I was looking for the new cultural victory, but right now i could choose the victory condition I so ever desire (still lots of turns left for that though), I even feel that a diplomatic victory in the United Nations would be attainable more rapidly that the initial cultural victory I intended.
Anyway, bottom line, I would recommend that you play this expansion on at least one level of difficulty above what you usually play. And if you were already winning on Deity, then you're fucked Next game I start is gonna be on King, but I have the feeling that I will be making the jump to Emperor in no time.

Playing prince was way too easy without the expansion as well

King was always my minimum required difficulty for challenge.
On the the other hand, I never liked playing on Immortal or above, due to too much warped rules in AI favor. Makes game world seem less believable to immerse in it properly.
