12 hours seems a bit long. I'm in the game for about 4 hours now, and already gone really far. Hopefully it won't take 12 hours Sad

So I have time for other games. Why else? Very Happy (There are a TON of new, good games coming soon, but I have limited time. Call of Duty 2 shouldn't take me too long, for instance Smile)

If you don't feel like playing a game any more, then don't play it, move on to the next one. If you're still enjoying it, then continue to play it until you get bored, then move on to the next good game. This way you'll have something to play in the dry periods.

There is no logic to your reasoning.

I receive the most enjoyment when I actually complete a game. But I also like playing a different variety of games. My time is limited, and I do not prefer moving between games - I want to be done with one, then move on to the next. Are you saying that only one opinion has logic, while others contain none?

Or rather that... wishing for a good thing to end quickly doesnt make much sense.

Is it better to race towards your destination, or enjoy the ride at a normal pace...depends on your situation, but with games I think it's the latter Wink

I'm not saying thats abnormal, I personally have a hard time completing games lately, I get bored with them easily...all based on personality and mental state of being, but its easy to lose track of the meaning of a video game, and lose interest in the part that really counts.

In my opinion the point is, there are not many new good role playing games this year and (IMHO) the two best (Dungeon Siege 2 + Fable) now came out one after the other in a few weeks.
As I played them I wanted to explore every feature and sidequest the game offered, because the overkill of shooters and RTS had bored me so much in its repetitive nature. From Area51 to Project Snowblind...I played so many shooters this year - so thats why these two RPGs were so welcome and I really enjoyed them. I am almost sad after I have finished them.

The next boring wave of shooters and RTS will surely arrive soon - and then I will wish "Oblivion" and "Gothic 3" would be already here, but I dont think they will be released before middle of 2006.

If u just want to finish the game then u can make it in 4 hours... but there are many other interesting things... if u want to finish it all (sidequest,Demon Doors etc.) then it will take from ya 16-30hours Smile

Im not sure about the game...its combat system is oki, but the AI of the opponents suck donkeyballs. The game is too "shallow". It has not the depth of morrowind, and its gameplay and missions are damn repetitive. Also it sucks to try and b a mage.....especially since fighting with a sword is way to superior combat method in the game. It also lacks all the details and interaction with objects and ppl. verything is so simple...so very black or white. It is just too simple in that way. However...it is a fun game, and i have already spent a lot of time with it. What remains for me is to play with alignment of being a "bad guy", i tried by making the "good decisions" all the time now. Will be fun to try it with a different style.

I hope Oblivion will set its mark, and become a game that i spend more then 500 hours with....just like i have done with morrowind and daggerfall Smile

i read something about this on another forum, it will only throw you back to the menu if you cancel the credits (hit escape or sometn), just let the credits run through, will take a shit loud of time as far as i know, and you will still be in the game.....some sorta bug

Hi.

I´ve Fable instaled on a PIV 2.8, 512MB ram and a FX5200, with 77.77.

But, after i play a couple of minutes, i´ve got graphics bugs, like half of screen full with some kind of weird textures.

Who´d played with 78.01 drivers, find some graphic bug? The solution is update my graphic card drivers?

Sorry my bad english

I hope it's not exclusive to 360, but that's just foolish optimism speaking. It's Lionhead, of course it's exclusive, F1HD will be released on PC the same day Fable 2 will--- read; never. Shame too but oh well.

Are the game stories tied, or can you enjoy 1 and 3 without missing fable 2 too much?

Actually, yes! Fable 2 is set several hundred years after F1... and F3 is likewise set a great deal of time after F3, 50 odd years I think, and all the stories are completely self-contained. You don't need to play any of the games to enjoy the rest. I still think F2 is the best of the lot though, it had a larger and more exploratory world than F1, along with finer gameplay enhancements.

... sadly crippled by DAT BLOOM and 360 exclusivity Sad

Underwhelming average RPG, if most.
And that was the first, never bothered with Fable 3.
