(Don't know why the hell the last list doesn't work)

This game seems to be utter shite, Activision Value, with multiple platforms - sounds like "Cash hog" to me.

I'd wait for STACKED if I were a Hold'em fan.

Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

By the way, this game has been "dumbed down" compared to what's been announced.

I can't find any Multiplayer-option in this game, at all. And you cannot (at all) customize the appearance of your character.

Stay away from this game.

"Official game of ... " is something I usually see as a warning sign. Stacked does indeed look like something that has some effort put into it, let's just hope it has interesting gameplay and good AIs in addition to the graphics as well. I'd really like to see a good poker sim.

The PC version is utter shite.
All animations are done through BMP-files,
I doubt there is any AI to speak of, and there is no multiplayer option whatsoever.
Likewise, you can only choose from four pre-defined looks.

EVERYTHING in this PC-version differs from what's advertised on the homepage of this game.

There is no 3D at all ... it's all 2D (prerendered), you can't see the table from different directions, etc. etc.

Just look at the screenshots, if you compare those to what's available in the PC-version of this game, you'll start feeling... sort of ... sad.

There's nothing 3D about it.

I bet this game runs on a Pentium 100MHz. Razz

If you're serious about learning poker and want to practice offline, the only game worth considering is Poker Academy Pro. If you want to play multiplayer, that's what Party Poker, Pokerstars, and a hundred other sites are there for. I really don't understand why companies even bother releasing garbage like this.

They release it because poker is getting more and more popular, and popularity is something that can be turned into money?

It's "OK", I lack atmosphere in it. And having the game in 3D, and having an A.I. tell-engine, makes the game more than just mathematics. You can't really bluff the A.I. in Cloutier's game, it calls basically anything (even if it only holds a pair).

It feels about as interesting as playing with play-money on Partypoker Razz

I'm really hoping Stacked will be as advertised.

Which you could never do against a real person. If you bluff every time, any person who isn't George W. Bush (or similar) would pick up on your style, and adapt to it.

Which ie. the POKI-A.I. (that is integrated in Stacked, and Poker Academy, for instance) does.

Playing T.J. Cloutier's poker game is good for newbies, but it's in no way a good way to improve your Hold'em. In fact, if you learn to play according to that game, you will get your ass handed to you in any real Hold'em game against an opponent that can adapt (ie. a human).

There is something weird about this. I looked on the screenshots after I have played the game, and there are huge differences - most of them are already mentioned in this thread. The game disappointed my in so many ways because of the limited view, gameplay, settings etc.

Is there a possibility the release is an early version (leaked perhaps?) of it and not the final version. I simply ask because I find it extremely weird that Activision would dump a game like this to such poor quality.

Would be nice if the game hasn't been officially released yet.

I too suspect that this is an early build and not the final retail version. The screenshots are not even remotely similar and the game crashes more times than I can count.
VERY buggy.

Yep, I have yet to finish a tournament because the game crashes too often. I visited Activision's website, and I couldn't find any information about development or a release of this game. Gamespy's info just states that the game is still under development. Weird.

Words cannot describe how much this game suck.

I spend 4 hours playing the 10,000 texas no limit tournament, then I am on the final table with 6 players left total. I have a monster hand and I am about to win 600,000+ in one hand when the game crashes to desktop ...

Tnx for a great game
