Comparing Civ V to SimShitCity is like comparing a horses dick with mine, or Mother Teresa with Hitler, there is just no comparison whatsoever, with either.
The majority of problems that arise with this game, are the people who cannot play it properly, and/or those who refused to accept 'change' in the game mechanics, and thus will continue to whine regardless.
It ain't Civ 4, its Civ V!, get it?, its a whole new beast, and a great one at that, which has been well supported in these past three years, more so than SimShitty ever will, I can tell you that for free! Hell, that 'so-called' game won't even see 1 year, at best! The DLC already, for that shit, costs way more than the last 2 expansions for Civ V, only 3 months after release.
And don't get me started on multiplayer lol, it really shouldn't be in there in first place, and one should well know that if your a proper Civ player
You rip sim city a new one? And many other games - deservedly so, but civ 5 gets a free pass and actually praise for getting this shit done after 3 years? I just don't get it. I will never understand why this abomination did not get a bigger backlash.
Yes it's an okay game now - years later, but it is still so damn lacking, especially in the multiplayer department it's unbelievable.
I think someone has forgotten how much Warlords and BTS improved the original Civ4.
New Mode - Sequential - Similar to the way Single Player works, each player takes turns making their moves.
New Mode - Hybrid - turns are simultaneous as they've worked in the past, but when wars are declared, any players involved in the wars switch to sequential until the war is resolved. All other uninvolved players still play simultaneous.
Because of the long holiday coming up, 2K fast-tracked our fixes for existing save games.
This fix addresses both hot-seat and diplomacy issues with existing saves. If you were continuing an old saved game with the new patch, the game would process AI turns all at once instead of sequentially, which caused many issues, the most apparent of which caused AI diplomacy to become unresponsive.
You may need to restart your Steam client to trigger the update.

I've never been a big multiplayer guy myself in civ, but I acknowledge a lot of other people do enjoy and play it. Does that mean the developers should ignore it just because I don't usually use it ?
"And don't get me started on multiplayer lol, it really shouldn't be in there in first place, and one should well know that if your a proper Civ player"
Proper civ player...Such a dumb and ignorant comment, I don't see any point in continuing.
Hypocrisy comes to mind, seeing how you can use the same argument in defending a game, then ripping it apart in the next thread.
Are there any huge mods for civ 5 ? Like a new dawn or fall from heaven ?
Umm, yeah. When I calmed down, I investigated further and apparently my proxy was going. It's only those poor Europeans that have to wait. The shit is ON!
Hmm just in time would be tomorrow (in 10 hours, tuesday for me) because I ordered it on GMG to activate the game via vpn. I hope GMG will send out the keys for the NA release.

GMG is located in the UK, so don't get your hopes up.
