Hmm, that's a rough question. I basically like four kind of games: competitive multiplayer games, storydriven games, atmospheric games and so called best gameplay
Absolute favorite: Omikron the Nomad Soul - that game really seemed epic to me, when I first played it.

I can't come up with anything really overall for my whole gaming experience...but I will say that I enjoyed Xenoblade Chronicles (Dolphin emu) more than any other game I played in recent years, by far. Amazing music, decent story, great environments, fun combat system, it was just a wonderful game. The only reason I'd ever get a Wii U is for that upcoming game X.
Other than that, The Witcher 2 and Dragon Age Origins are other notable games from recent years that I fully enjoyed and played through more than once.
Also the space-sim X series, notably X3, is one of the best experiences I had playing a game.
EDIT: Just remembered, Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Boy did I play the shit out of that game, hotseat with my brother, or just against the AI....over and over and over again. Go go Implosion.
