They are separate badges, normal badge and foil badge. You can't mix them.

Sad part is you get also 100 xp only from the foil badge. Where as you can buy 5 set of normal cards cheaper than one set of foil badge and get 500xp. Now if they boosted the XP gain from foil to 200-500xp, then it would make more sense.
Anyone know are the rare emoticons and backgrounds even from foils or just from regular badges?

No, once they've dropped they don't drop again as you only get a limited amount of drops (half the maximum) and that happens only once. Once they're gone, the only way to reacquire cards is to buy or trade for them.

badge isnt, but coupons, backgrounds and emoticons you get from crafting, are tradable and marketable
also in regards to getting more cards, you can get booster packs that also drop which gives you more cards, but its rare.

Well i found it much easier to load a game then just minimize it and go do something else. Then just wait for the cards to appear in your inventory.
Currently have Serious Sam 3, Portal 2 and Borderlands 2 all just minimized while i'm watching a few tv shows. Doesn't seem to matter if multiple games run at once, i have only got the Borderland 2 launcher up and still got a card.
And are the coupons really worth it considering the summer sale are coming up soon?? Probably be better sale discounts then coupon discounts......

Well most of them are already expired.. They last only 2 weeks, but crafting now would make them last during sale. And yes, sale will be better than coupons.
