Gotta say i will be really astounded if Xbone turns into a success. I just can't imagine someone dumb enough to put up with so much just to play a damn game.
I've just read a short news article on a dutch site. It is said that MS believes the consumers will soon understand the benefits of the systems in place (they've found the best compromise for the publisher's, MS's and consumer's needs and whatnot). Does anyone know the source for that? I'd like to see the context, and what they mean by "benefits"?
what i wanna know is how they ON ANY LEVEL can believe their system is better than no restrictions at all... ill say it again, mental meltdown

This is a previously unaired interview from today that was aired by mistake when one of Spike TV's correspondents was having microphone trouble. They quickly aired this instead while he fixed his mic, and pulled it ASAP. Spike TV was also paid off to not show Sony's press conference so you can bet they will try to keep a tight lid on this blunder. Tell everyone you know.
Yesterday, Microsoft announced XBOX-ONE would be arriving in Brazil for 2100 BR$. Today, Jack Tretton gave an interview for a brazilian magazine saying Sony is aiming to bring PS4 to Brazil, on launch day, for 900 BR$

not releasing at launch on some of european countries, not releasing in asia till later next year and only in choosen countries, what the fuck are they thinking?
tho asia can be understable, as afair ps2 was outselling x360 most of the time
due to their arrogance, i wont buy an xone out of principle, even if they get some good exclusives i m interested in (so far none yet).
i will rather skip out on some potentially truly amazing titles, than support this madness

Spencer’s rationale is that most of us are playing online with our mates instead of playing single players games, and added that the online check-ins aren’t that big a leap from what we see on services like iTunes or Steam authentication today.
He said earlier today that the check-ins take kilobytes, rather than megabytes, so won’t drain your mobile tethering if you need to use it.

well i think anyone even slightly sane will do the same =) that plans on buying a new console anyhow, i know ill stay far far away from ms this round even if it turns out to be the better machine cause their policies is simply too stupid
It can't turn out to be the better machine, because it is simply inferior. And unlike last time, there's no difference in architecture nor design. And as I've iterated over several times now, "the cloud" cannot fix a lack of hardware.
Jack Tretton said in the interview with Geoff Keighley something like that:
"Players can look forward to seeing multiplatform titles on PS4 and comparing them to their Xbone counterpart."
And then he grinned...
Sony and the devs are very aware that the Xbone is significantly inferior hardware wise. And if the rumors about yield problems turn out to be true and it will be underclocked, its even worse for MS.

I see absolutely no justification of the cloud there. You can still cater a multiplayer enviroment without the use of a DRM system. Is he high or something? Microsoft can't spin themselves out of this.

yep, this would be the first generation where sony has the best hardware (n64 vs psx is debatable due to alot of factors, but the n64 did have a much faster cpu)
