No, anyway the single player part works just fine.
Played it for about 15min's and uninstalled, waiting for someone to figure out how to make bigger cities. (well or DLC)

On a side note, is this actually worth buying yet? I notice it's still a stupid price on Amazon.
I would say not yet and definitely not at full price.
Better wait for next update #5 (multiplayer sync fix) and maybe update #6 (RCI rebalancing).
And try to find a cheap key, I wouldn't put more than 25€ to be honest. (what I did)

I imagined rather naively, that because of all the furore associated with the release of the game it would be a sensible price by now to lure the unsuspecting punters in, and as a sweetner to those like myself, on the fence about the game.

Got it to work finally on win8, had issue with the cert not installed in root trusted blabla shizzle (by default win8 doesn't give you a clear option to pick in wich dir the cert should be installed if you don't pay attention)

i got dummy not working, origin cant find sever errors ect. open apache folder and httpd.conf, change server root to correct path. make new folder called apache/conf/ put httpd.conf in there. run start.exe.
Tried three times now to get it working, followed all instructions to the letter but I keep getting the same errors. First of all it only downloads a few meg, Ran the dummy server, Origin connects ok. but when I press play I get the EA error. Tried all the various fixes sugested on here but no joy.
This is a vid i made for my usenet upload, to help the others out.
Maybe it helps others here.
My Chrome browser can't translate it though?

You mean the error that EA fails to connect blabla?
That one is 110% a wrongly installed cert. Make sure you put it in the correct directory, look at my vid when i install the cert, where to press to make sure you have the correct dir
Plus the game won't work yet on 32bit for those wondering.

after trying like crazy and giving up i took another stab at it today and I got past the cert error. What I did was instead of simply reinstalling the cert I went into cert manager and deleted the old one first, then reinstalled it and walla
Edit well.....Got it to dl and update, but gives network connect error at the authentication check. Funny thing is prob wont plaay it other than to test it out, but I was in the "beta" so I kinda know what to expect. I just want to see it load so I can give out an evil laugh in EAs face
Edit 2 It is done. Had to reboot and it threw the error once then worked on the second try

Im hearing more features are going to be added down the road so maybe it will be the full deal eventually

Okay Guys, at first i must say well done VulpesZedra, you finally gave me a Demo for this Game. Hope you keep up the work and make it fully Offline with all the necessary things.
It prolly will take some time to reverse all the packets and over region stuff, but im sure this guy is capable of doing it over time.
So yeah, i coudnt await it anymore and bought this game now yesterday, coudnt stand the fact of this one lonely region and the other missing stuff.
For 25 Bucks it doesnt seem a bad deal at all and i must also admit that those small areas are not such a big problem as i thought first. Sure thing i still want bigger maps and Offlineplay and hope that this will come in the future.
