Not sure if this has been said but.. if you have a nvidia card and the game is crashing try this:

Then click on "Vertical sync", uncheck "Application-controlled"

Yea, that's awesome. When they miss the net terribly and smash the glass, their like OH SHIT. The glass breaking is a lot less. Happens maybe once every fifth game with me.

a lil out of topic...but nyway....how the hell do u tackle in the damn game??? I mean....personally i always play at difficult lvl, but this is ridiculous. I can go at full speed against someone and presst the tackle button, but the dude just shakes me off and keeps the puck under complete control....i mean gimme a break....even if the dude would be 30 kg smaller he would still b able to knock the puck away when hes getting speed for the tackle from the blueline and the other dude is in the corner. it doesnt make ny sence...so plz......tell me:
1. if there is a "load" button (to make u tackle harder), like in the demo, which button name does it have?(function name that u then assign a button).
2. How the heck do i change the lines manually? in the demo u could set button for this. IN the game u cant even change it with the F1-F8 buttons. So plz...tell me how to change the lines???
these factors, especially the tackle thing really bugs the shit out of me.
So...plz do reply on this...

I havent tried the game on the PC so i have a question for the ones who have. Do the replays (the auto-replays, not the ones you can do yourself) seem funny to you? Most of the replays i get aren't correct at all. They are showing completely different things. I might do a one-timer but the replay shows a different situation. Is this intentional? Like showing other highlights? In real broadcasting it's often like that but it really bugs me in the game.
Also flamergris you said that the tackling is a bit bad, it's the same on xbox. I often have to tackle once then skate backwards and tackle again. All in all the Difficult setting sucks. All it does is make your players weaker and the opponents players better. It should add better play instead. Also it often feels like the opponents gets very easy goals, from impossible angles etc.

I have the same crashing problem with my amd right before the faceoff its because our processers dont support sse, we have to wait for a patch.

Unfortunately, EA NEVER cared about their customers (yeah, yeah..I bought it and can't be refund..the bad thing is that I met the minimum specs..)... if there's no patch coming out, I'm forever done with games from EA since they always put their own profit interests first.

you can send your copy back to EA and they will send you a sealed one to return it to your dealer. thats what i did....but you gotta get in touch with support first, so they know you have an issue with the game....

i guess ur running the pc version..press Z+use ur numlock pads to chance lines.
this is so fucked up, 2005 had the same problem.
thnk god for logitech dual action.

Have anyone else had problems with the controllers for NHL 2006? It's all fooked up in the menus, the selection options keep going up... impossible to select a menu =(

if ur using a keyboard or gamepad, turn your mouse upside down.
