It works, Install the Certificate not Automatic, choose the place yourself in trusted.
Fixed it for me
Also the dirname doesnt have to cotain any spaces, so rename it like c:\simcity or anything else you like.

yup keeps saying dummy cert seems to not be installed, and origin and simcity will not be able to connect. I have followed every step correctly wtf gives? when i install the cert it says import success

Lets hope a simpler workaround is found. I have not grabbed this yet but from the comments it seems rather hit and miss.
I certainly won't buy this even if it's down to £1.99 in the bargain basement for botched games.

Not that great cause you can only play 1 region with 3 city lots. I hope now that the guy enables the other ones + trading.

I was having problems with "not installed dummy certificate". Install it manually on 2nd selection, RESTARTed the PC and then it was fixed.

He most probably is working on fixes though.

Which i could need now, since today when i launch the Emu it simly says Port 443 unaivailable and i cant get it to work. Havent changed anything since yesterday.

i dont get it if u use the hosts file then u cant log on or log into the origin site so there is no way to run the client?

That's where the crack/server comes into play, it is named 'start.exe'. You run that and Origin will communicate with it (because you altered the hosts file) and the server will let you log in under any username and password.

For those with the cert issue, you need to find v1.0 and try that. V1.2 will say the cert is not installed on some systems and cannot communicate with the apache server.

Clicked Play the first time and nothing happened, clicked again and I got the tampered error, hit activate in the new crack and then play again and it works.
