I mean continue Jensen's storyline as if it were a different universe than DE1 and DE2.
DE1 might have had better gameplay, but the world with the lore, moral and social conflicts is a lot better shaped in DE3. I want the next game to have the same depth, and if need be for that, then disregard the DE1 and DE2 timeline altogether.

That won't happen, but it's entirely possible the references will be only small like in DE3.
But disregarding entirely the DX1 lore? Nope, won't happen.
And rebooted is the wrong word.

DXHR isn't a rebooted world, Radicalus, it's a direct prequel to DX1. EM didn't change the lore (well, except for the slip up with the dates that ended up with Nicolette DuClaire working for Picus even though she wouldn't have been born then  ) - the events of DXHR are set prior to those in DX1. |
Yes, I know that, thank you though.
I mean if we consider the timeline in one universe, then the next following years are full of very rapid technological advancements, which if we stick to this timeline might lead to less focus on the moral and social dilemmas, which pushed DE3 from good to great. I'm saying, if need be, we can be more flexible with the timeline.
As far as I'm concerned, DE3 is the best DE.

Hmm. Playing as Ben Saxon would make a lot of sense - further flesh out the established world and lore. I like it.

- a streamlined aberration for the masses, err..I mean "reboot"

it wont be a console exclusive. EM decided to waste money on getting a late late late port for the wii u. So chances are it's gonna be a multiplat game. Otherwise I don't see why they would spent money on porting an old old old game for a system whn they could've released current games.
