Wow.. Google Desktop Search has a new "sidebar" view and I LOVE it, its much like any other desktop tool allowing you to watch your System loads, view RSS feeds, write notes, view mail and create a TODO list. There are a good number of plugins and what looks to be a strong community, I'm considering writting a Media Player for the it as one doesnt exist just yet.
Also incorporates Google Talk - Lets hope we see some trillian or MSN plugins soon ! The only thing I can moan about is that I want to use TOO much of it, meaning all of the sections can be tiny, but thats my fault not the applications.
Oh, and for those of you with crappy systems it does use an insane amount of RAM, although I think thats simply because its doing a "first install" scan of my system, which I also have encrypting..
5 Procs for it using a total off 95mb half of which looks to be used by the "indexing" and "crawling" part of the application
