Yes, the cannon animations are fantastic. This has replayability plastered ALLL over it. Bacon, I had similar issues until I switched the resolution to that of my desktop. Give that a shot.

How the hell do you increase the game speed? Just staring at the screen for minutes on end while some faggot units take several minutes apiece to build is not my idea of fun. Is there some way to increase the game speed, or some instant build cheat? I mean for fucks sake, don't developers realize that some people DON'T want to fucking wait forever just to build a few fucking units!?!? Is it THAT fucking hard to implement time acceleration or something? If earth 2160 has it, then why can't this game?

Gigabyte S-Series GA-G33-DS3R, Intel C2D Quad Q6600 OC @ 3.2Ghz, 4gb Kingston PC8500 1066Mhz DDR2, Geforce 7800GTX (will get a 9800GTX when they are released), 2 x 250Gb HD's and a case with built in paper and lotion dispenser.

Something I got from another forum. Might be handy.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

The demo _DOES_ run under Windows 2000. I just installed it on my WinXP laptop and copied the folder "...\Age Of Empires III Trial" over to my Windows 2000 workstation. Executed age3.exe and BINGO! It came up without a problem.

ahh the impatient folk Wink

it's under options. game speed. The default is medium, turn it up to high. Anything faster you need to upgrade building in the game or cheat.

to all naysayers including nightlith... get the fucking sticks out of your asses. if you don't like this game don't play it. everyone I know who enjoyed the first games has loved this game. my housemate came in the room when he heard the canons from my klipschs and proceeded to watch for the next 45 minutes.... but yeah. it sucks (rolls eyes)

ps: i'm running a p4 2.6w/HT 1gig3200 ram ATI9700 pro 128 ram and it's running quite smooth with everything high but the shadows Smile congrats to MS.

PSS: when I leave my fishing ships by themselves I see them toss nets over the side, am I imagining things? there is no longer a way to click "fish" where you see fish, but maybe it does it automatically (or else i was hallucinating, which could be what happened, it was a bit late last night)

Thanks for the info.
Does anyone know if there's a zip file out of the installed Demo to download? Smile

I'm not sure how I feel about this one yet. I know the interface is way too huge. The camera movement feels jerky. That probably bothered me the most. Maybe it was just my system but I don't think so. Everything else it's too soon to tell how it is. Which might not be a good sign. If it was gonna wow me it probably would of happened right away.

Nice game, but feels like an beta, ALOT of the soldiers and some canons are missing movements. Looks like some are flying. And the guardians isn't even fighting back sometimes. And sometimes i can't even attack with my soldiers.
