I'm stuck there as wel Crying or Very sad highest difficultly; werewolf seem to be hard.

Played it a bit.. Don't like it at all. The abilities seem generic and boring. So far the companion is useless and dies in seconds on hard. I hate games in which i cant even customize/choose my class/hero.. but yeah the game is about van helsing, fair enough - still boring tho -.-

What build did you choose? If you play ranged, then explosive shot + full rage + Rampage Aura can take care of all the summoned wolf/crows with 2 shots.

Yeah, too bad I went on ice damage skills, since that worked on other ARPGs very well. But here its pretty useless since it has no area effect. You are right, I should have gone on area effect skills, since in that game almost every fight is a horde battle. Seems as if I have to restart Sad

almost killed it. Using melee skills alone.



couple of tires and you should be able to kill..Just kite and kite.

I beat everything pretty easily on heroic just by spamming explosive and normal shoot and ofcourse kiting.

It is a bit boring tho doing the same movement over and over.

YEAH! Got it. That tip was gold worth. Did reset my skills at the gipsy camp and went on the explsive shot skill - beat the werwolf at first try Very Happy Smile Laughing

The game is great, it feels a bit unfinished and rushed after the first act though. The metal soldiers never make a sound for me when they fire, and there is more weird stuff like that. I am a complete melee build and went for the tripple strike level 14 skill, and there seems to be no animation for it. I can see 3 chunks of life disappearing from enemies, but the slash animation is the default one. With some more polish this could be a real gem.

My steam achievements do show up though, 37/96 \o/

Fixed a bug with the customize button. It didn't save your settings if you
used online character.



New features:

- 2560x1080 and 6052x1200 resolutions are now supported.

Most of the game data is saved in simple text files. All the uniques seem to be defined in "The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing\Cfg\Artifact\artifacts.cfg". Don't look in there if you do not wanna spoil any drops, but there are some fun items, like a sword named BunnySlayer which has no stats except "Enchantments=DamageAgainstBunny(value=2400|2400)".

I just came back to ask that same thing, Kein. I just found that goo, I tasted it and it had a description/string appear on screen, something like character_modify_alchemy or something, but it was gone too quick and I haven't seen anything else change.

And there is no way to check all these bonuses at all damn. I don't mean just in game, there is nothing in string-packs as well because it is not static pre-defined string.

Aw fuck... something bugged out and I think it's the "tasting", it's put my poison resistance to -22 with an effect of -7% Neutral There's also a bug with the Thunder Strike "addon" for the melee skill "Lightning Strike"; It's supposed to change the base damage of Lightning Strike from 50% Melee to 100% Melee, but it hasn't.

Well, I've got a pretty major bug myself.

I zoned back into a map (Sewage Plant) after taking a detour on a sub-map to complete a side quest. Now, all the enemies on the map are frozen, invisible, and do not attack, however they can be targeted and killed. Once killed their body appears standing as if they were alive, and they drop loot.

I've tried rebooting the game and loading into another zone and coming back, but neither of these fixes it.

I'm not sure whether just this map is going to be bugged like this, or it will be everything going forward. Sad

Screenshots - first shows companion fighting the invisible mob, followed by the invisible mobs frozen corpse becoming visible upon death.

3DM Update 2 validates fine so its safe and full. Use the same crack you used before (if reloaded don't copy the .exe's again)

how many "loot quality categories" are there? Until now I only got white ones, blue ones and yellow ones.
Are there better ones, too? What color do they have? Are there uniques (with item name) like in Torchlight 2 ?

afaik, you can only reset map by doing a new game, or hosting, creating a mp one. if all of them are bugged ...

Hah found some bait and managed to catch a mutated fish which Helsing suddenly wanted to feed to Katarina but she objected because it could have strange effects.

Instead she told me to feed it to a cat, so I found a cat and dropped the fish (It wasn't a quest item.) and the cat proceeded to eat it, then promptly died of poising. Sad

I wonder if eating the fish has some interesting properties, since the game keeps prompting on how my character is from a older version now since this update and that a new character is recommended I guess I'll have start over eventually.
(Looks like that thing with the beta where it was recommended to start over after each update carried over to the full game.)
