DarkRohirrim: yes this is still a work in progress. I might do some changes to the level meshes themselves (this mod simply replaces some models that happens to be stand-alone), then i can make nicer mountains and whatnot. But we'll see.

Any progress on your mod, vurt?

I think he made it a lot better, but I'm not sure... just something I read on WoG some time ago.

Yup, that's what I read. Smile

This looks great even by today's standards in my opinion, especially that last shot.

But it still looks considerably better. Granted, it doesn't look freakin' spectacular but what can you expect ? Give it some more time and there'll be better graphics mods.

Yeah, what Revan said should do it. I think I remember a similar bug (no idea if it's exactly the one you have) from a few years back when my uncle was playing the game.

I thought you visited some shrine to get the eye recharged but my playthrough was via the hunters path.
(I did a Paladin playthrough after but I don't remember much about that, both were without the addon since it came much later.)

IIRC you were supposed to have Eye charged once (after it is fixed, some things also changed in the Raven addon) before you go any dragon, but I think you can kill fire one without.

Yep, now I remember - you can kill Swamp Dragon with non-charged Eye and then collect his heart.

Have you collected Dragonslayer btw? It is nearby Troll Cave, if you take west-south route from it. A cave filled with high-level skeletons but you can quickly outruns them and take the sword. It is quite powerful and, IIRC, can be upgraded to the most powerful weapon (in the original Gothic 2) if you play as a hunter (or may be not this sword, don't remember).

It's ok, adds to original story instead of replacing it which is always fine in my book. Too bad Trojak never finished version 2.0. Oh and AFAIK it's incompatible with vurts wondrous textures.

i put vurt's mod in the end but i have shitty performance Sad and the fix from pcgamingwiki (meaning playing in borderless fullscreen windowed) gets rid of the problem but creates another : sliders for gamma/contrast/brightness dont work anymore, changing them doesnt modify those 3 things and its really dark ingame Sad ; i had the same problem in gothic 1 too Crying or Very sad

Change gamma in your graphics card settings instead?

Yeah my mod does require a good computer, the engine isnt really supposed to run at that detail, it doesnt even have LOD's.

i didnt started the game without your mod but there is an entry here http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Gothic_II#Poor_performance so im guessing the mod is not to blame Razz, but as i said that solution from there works for me
anyway its a pain in the ass to do all these things but for my favorite game ill do anything Very Happy

Thx for the link and the work, looks great.

Does this work on gothic II gold thats on steam?

So your patch includes bugfixes from community patch 2.10+additional bugfixes, minus non bug fix stuff from 2.10?

This patch will work on Gothic 2 from Steam as long as you are using English version with addon (Night of the Raven) installed. It is not based on community patch and does not go beyond fixing script bugs (in contrast with community patch which incorporates some binary edits to game executable for example). It does fix significantly more script issues than the community patch attempted to, though.

Thx for the explanation. will compare the change logs to see what fits in with my line of thought more,

though in theory I am leaning more towards just bug fixes then subjective changes.
