It really isn't. The HIG is completely different from the iPhone, the UI navigation stack is a lot more flatter, popovers, etc.

From my personal experience iPad is your best choice,

I use an Android phone, not a an Apple fanboy Smile

Tablet History:

iPad 2 > Asus Transformer Prime > Nexus 7 > iPad 4
