The narrator is Buck from Far Cry 3.
As in "His name's Buck, and he likes to fuck..."

Maybe there won't be an animus at all. If they choose not to continue the modern part, that's it for me. I only loved the modern story parts of AC3, the game was not that good as a whole... I want to know how the modern story moves on... If that's not in the game, then Im skipping it...

I agree, especially as they're calling it Assassin's Creed IV

I have a theory.
What if, because of the other tie-ins with AC3, one piece in particular actually, where Desmond's body is dragged away from the Temple, they somehow manage to salvage his conscience? Or, I dunno, he lives on but in a form similar to Subject 16? I can't see this being played with you as the protagonist, or gateway to Kenway's memories.
But alas, it's probably gonna be an unoptimized POS which can barely be played with a keyboard like AC3.

What do you mean "barely can be played with a keyboard"? I played it with the keyboard just fine like all AC games.

Pretty sure that wasn't the point of my original post but here it goes: the revamped physics system made it hard for the climbing and free running mechanic to be used effectively, as Connor happened to be grasping or stepping on the wrong surface, not the one intended. But this may have happened because I keep my mouse set to a high DPI.
AC1, 2, ACB and ACR used an older version of Havok, along with some scripted actions, in AC3, they went for a newer version of Havok and ditched scripted surfaces completely.

"We have a whole studio dedicated to testing" and they only show four people from Bucharest out of dozens. Lmao. But then again, the Bucharest studio while being a very modern building, it's got nothing but fields around it, but it is no excuse not to show people.

YES!
AC3 soundtrack wasn't that bad, but doesn't even remotely compare to AC/AC2/ACB/ACR.

ok, here's the deal
Ubi noticed that many ppl (including myself) liked the ship gameplay on AC3 and recieved very positive feedback
that's why they went and made a whole game around that gameplay
and will probably make another ancestor or twist adaptation to the original story to match this one

Not me anymore, that's for sure.
I played every AC at least 3/4 times, but AC3 has completely destroyed the series for me.
Didn't even bother with the DLC's, that's how bad i personally find it.
Said it before and will say it again, AC died with AC:R for me.
