Saving this game up for a rainy day. Very Happy

Monsoon starts next month in India, so would probably play it then, probably after The Last of Us.

Wanted to play for a couple of hours after dinner, ended up going to bed after 2am Very Happy This game is awesome.

Really impressed with the graphics as well, hard to believe the good old x360 is moving all that at such fluidity and with little to no aliasing.

Is it me or are the levels really short?! To be fair, the loading time is just a few sec. but still, I feel the first one had longer levels.

And no, I'm not ramboing through the game, I actually going through them at a pretty slow/sneaky pace.

So they made a better/interesting game with less money, working more hrs having fewer benefits/commodities than, saaay... a north american studio getting more money, less hrs and better benefits/commodities, but only manages to shell out a mediocre modern-military shooter or and over the derp and fully scripted poor mans Indiana Jones game. Rolling Eyes

Kudos on 4A games and CDPr for making better, interesting and more original games with less money than the bigger dogs in the industry. Very Happy

And people say original IPs cost too much money! Laughing

As someone that has worked at an AAA publishing company, I'll share the secret. The real costs of the game remained the same as with any other good game. The only difference is in the management. For example @ EA that game would've been managed by 150 people and the budget would be 20% game costs, 40% management, 40% marketing. At 4A it's probably 60% game cost, 30% marketing, 10% management.

Real life example: adding a car to Shift2. A specific car paintjob/decal job needed to be added to Shift2. We send a message to the management - how much would it cost? The answer comes - $15K. We're like WTF o_0?! And the explanation is simple: real work (texture artist) $500, $14500 - total per hour cost of managers required to approve and manage this crap.

And this ^^ is exactly where your enormous budgets come from. It's still possible to make a game for 5-10 million bucks, but nobody's interested in that.

Well fuck, the game just corrupted my saves -_-
Suggestion: if you find yourself unable to jump (A button does nothing) switch off the x360 before the next save point or your saves will be fucked, at least mine were.

Luckily there's a chapter select feature....
