Seems to only have two unlock times, US on Tuesday 14th, by early morning here in Sweden, and EU Friday 17th just after midnight, I've not checked the exact hour since I'll use a VPN to unlock it early.

See when I click on JB's link usin a VPN free connection I get told the game will unlock on 14th which is less in 18 hours from now where I am but if I go to that repository of inaccuracy gamefaqs release data, it claims oz/kiwi release day isn't till the 16th & eu's gonna be the 17th.
I guess they figure that releasing in amerika 1st is the go since things are either so hunky dory or so oppressive there no one much uploads fer the rest of the world on release day. (prolly the same in oceania).
both sites are likely completely wrong in their estimation of when anyone round here who bought the game will be able to play it.
After a concerted spell of actually buying games I'm goin back to downloading em from dodgy spots.
It is less hassle and I get to play much sooner.
This year buyin games legit, I've repeatedly had to download the game again from steam after installing 6 or 12 gigs off disks. That is a pain out here beyond the black stump.
I book time out from my busy life to play the fucker only to sit around for a day or more waiting for steam servers to live up to their side of the contract - so that's it- I don't care how keen & honest the developers they did a deal with assholes that I don't want any part of- - ahoy there fellow ratbags & scumsuckers I'm back aboard.
All we need now is for some enterprising freebooter to chuck the code at us asap. which looks like at least 48 hours away -sigh.

Yeah it will be exactly the same as with Dead Island Riptide a few weeks ago, as Deep Silver is the publisher for both.

we are being promised release on 16th in NZ. 16th NZ time is 15th in eu & us. I didn't buy riptide as I had been dicked around sufficiently by steam by that release, but I betcha what punters in Oceania were told then was just as messed up.
I completely get it that date disk is delivered is different to when steam deigns to unlock, but this this never really made clear round here
I betcha no one in any of the retail outlets could correctly tell me whether we're gonna be on the amerikan or the euro unlock schedule, in the past it has varied according to asshole whim.
So yeah whiny, but it really shits me that even those of us who have deliberately moved to smaller population more friendly parts of the planet end up being stiffed somethin shocking by centralised corporate megapolies.
So we are left with objecting the only way we can- by not paying them to fuck us over.

There is no entry in SteamDB for protection being CEG for now. I guess it will be SteamStub or even only Steam (like Tomb Raider , Dead Island)

Does that really work? I tried that some time ago to make Russian Dishonoured work on Steam without VPN but I could never get it to work  |
I think he means to unlock a game until its release without using the VPN, not to bypass regional restrictions.
