Err you mean Yuck Office. All the open source office suits are pretty horrible once you go beyond simple tasks of open app take a look at UI type a little and close. Also, compatibility with Office is horrible too, which means you can't interoperate in a world of Office. It's a catch 22, I know, but as long as the open source office suits are so bad from a functional standpoint, I don't see a reason to leave the already free Microsoft Office.
I find the notion of "oh look, it's free, so it must be better" on a piracy board to be hilarious.
Nah not you, but people that like to take the high ground on the silliest of things. So they dLd films, TV shows, all games and software - but M"$" is evil because they want cash for Office and since LibreOffice is free, it is ten times better.

I never said one is better than the other, I pointed out that one is free and the other costs money.
(Nah, making fun of the dead is a terrible thing to do )
@Leo/Pref
Well you can see the arguments on the YT comments (if you can stomach it ) so much MS hate that people would use a steaming pile of shit with a 2" screen attached if it meant not using anything from MS --- so yeap, the "xxx Office is free, I'll just use that, fuck you Microshaft" comment is thrown around a lot.
"You can't open a Google doc in Office without losing formatting. Checkmate Micro$hit!"
Always used MS office, cracks always worked flawless...
Btw, i thought google docs was just for gmail attachments to be opened in, so you could view them on a pc without office >.<

No, Google Docs can do quite a bit more than that, but people go in expecting Word and Excel in all their glory
GDoc is great for collaborating on documents though, that still works much better and easier than on MS' side. We tend to just do things offline in at first and import into GDoc (which works flawlessly) once we need to collaborate. Plus, if you need anything else than the Office file or a print-out, Google's conversions work better, so we use GDoc for that as well
That's what I'm using. However, I don't use/need any online team/schedule/cooperation functions.
But ignoring $$$, MS Office IS actually a proven suite, even on Mac (or was at least). Not so sure about Office 365 though, haven't checked it out and I'm not particularly interested either. In fact, I'm not into the whole "cloud" thing at all. It feels like all the other "gimmicks" over the years, thin clients etc.. not to mention that online collaboration using for instance MS servers as the "cloud" before the cloud concept exited was around for a decade.
I use google docs a lot, it works fine for the simple stuff.

I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ?
Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!
