Since 2 months ago, i decided to start working out. Since i lost a huge amount of weight (without doing too much, only changed diet to healthier food and walk the dog more. 108kg->80kg) i thought it was the perfect moment to start.
But now, 2 months in, i start loosing my motivation to continue. I haven't seen any difference since i started 2 months ago..
So now i'm here, totally down the drain with no motivation, wanting to give up and (again) regret it a year later..
So any of you guys workout at the gym or go from fat to muscular? What motivation kept you guys going? And anyone got some good tips to keep me motivated (or help improve my workout)?

If you don't see any differences you are doing something wrong. I started working out 3 months ago and started seeing changes after just 2 weeks. And the continuous changes are all the motivation you need... once they happen.
I don't even go to the gym, I just got a set of dumbells and a pull-up bar, and by just doing dumbell curls and squats, sit-ups, push-ups and pull ups I often train many muscle groups at once that you would individually target with the gym machines.
Just continually increase weights, sets or reps if they get too easy. Also make sure you eat lots of protein after your workout, apparently that helps too. I don't have protein powder or stuff like that, it's scrambled eggs after a workout for me.
Also, how often do you work out per week? Congrats on the weight loss!

what kind of changes are you looking for? mor weight loss? muscle tone? might have to adapt your diet for that.

Motivation? Been working out for the last year almost every day, feeling great, having tons of energy is my motivation of course I changed my diet as well, slowly but surely, to healthy food.
A good motivator is also a nice pwm (post workout meal) after workout, when the going gets tough you tell yourself "just 20 more minutes and that juicy protein shake is mine!", if I don't have proteins I drink half a liter of chocolate milk which is just as tasty. Pwm is also important for your body to replentish back the energy lost.
Now granted you could drink chocolate milk anytime you wanted but then you'll be a fat-ass I only drink it as a reward.
Oh and it's easier now that I work out of my home, gyms are all right if they are not crowded but you also loose more time traveling to one.

AFAIK, you can do cardio exercises like running every day. But if you want to build up muscle, you need resting days in between exercises to give your muscles time to grow. Otherwise it could have a negative effect even. (Thats what I read on various sites anyway.)

If your goal is building muscle mass than you can't do so much cardio, of course you should also eat more of them proteins.

Post workout meal is very important if you want to build muscles. Mix whey protein with dextrose and drink right after exercising. But don't buy those "mass gainers", it's mostly just sugar which will make you plain fat.

Yeah, forgot to mention that, body builders usually take a cup of proteins (30g, depending on your weight) and mix it with grape sugar of fast sugar (or glucose, dextrose), then mix it with water and that's your protein shake. Some also use maltodextrin, an artifical sugar that has an even higher GI than glucose (which has a GI of 100), the use of fast sugar is pretty much this, after sports, during sports or before sports (or physical activity).

I used to be a lazy cunt 10 years ago, then I started lifting, if you want to find good information bodybuilding.com is a good site to find a lot of information. You have to sift through the bullshit but some very knowledgeable people post there.

Gaining muscle is 60% eating, 20% resting and 20% training.
if you dont eat enough, your body doesnt have the building blocks to grow
as a beginner you dont need shakes. just eat lots and lots of chicken and "kwark". if you think you are eating enough, you are not

Stop working out for a month, that's all the motivation you need. Once you feel like crap again, you'll yearn for a good workout. If you're talking about big muscle formation within two months, you'll be very disappointed. The muscles will bulge in the gym due to increased bloodflow, but for true muscle formation you'll need more time and sleep. Your body needs to adapt to your new needs, that won't happen in a month.
Keep going, take six months as your mark, and evaluate what you achieved after that.

Thanks guys for the replies so far.
My goal is to loose my last bit of fat around the belly area and manshape.
A special diet is gonna suck since you have to keep in mind that i only got €40,- per week to come by from, thus i have to cut some corners with cheaper food, plus i'm a horrible cook
I know i still gotta do some more cardio, but after 5min on the crosstrainer, i'm exhausted and gasping for air, barely being able to keep standing. My condition is totally fucked due to the smoking and unhealthy lifestyle i had.
The guy who goes with me and helps me with the training is saying that i'm making progression, but when i compare the photo i took 2 months ago to a current one, i don't see any difference at all.. (would want to post the pics here, but donno if that's a smart thing to do)..
Anyway, let's start with diet, what meals should i eat and what should i avoid? What helps with loosing the extra weight i still got left?

Every bodybuilder, or health eating freak, starts the day with oatmeal some use it with yogurt I use it with warm low-fat milk. I combine oatmeal with integral cornflakes, integral rice poppies, raisins, dried apricots, dried plums (or any other dried fruit) I dissolve some honey in the warm milk, two spoons of chopped almonds, walnuts and hazel-nuts and frozen berries (I have to defrost them first) like blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries.
Now this is everything your body needs for the day and a good breakfast will supply you with energy for the whole day and you should never EVER skip it.
Here you have oatmeal with strawberries and blueberries, not bad.
As for loosing weight I heard one bodybuilder say that integral rice (I eat the parboiled kind) is amazing at exactly that as no matter how much of it you eat it your body will use more energy processing it than you will get the energy from it, combine it with chicken breast and vegetables.

I'm going to do this in Dutch since its easier to relate to:
Een goed dieet hoeft echt niet duur te zijn, al die speciale extra gezonde dure producten is allemaal onzin zo lang je weet wat je haalt.
Even een simpel voorbeeld van wat je kan eten indien je af wilt vallen:
Ochtend: Een flinke bak Havermaotpap(vol vezels) met een glas melk en een glas vruchtensap (koop niet die zoete suikerrijke troep)
Middag: Gekookt ei met een boterham kalkoenfilet en een boterham pindakaas, hiernaast eet ik zelf nog een abdij roggebroodje en een manderijn. Als drinken neem ik twee glazen melk.
Avond: Ik noem even een aantal simpele gerechten die makkelijk, snel en goedkoop zijn:
1. Een flinke portie bruine bonen met mager gehakt, geen saus of andere rotzooi.
2. Kip/Kalkoenborst met sla en aardappelen.
Als toetje neem je magere kwark ofzoiets, ik eet ook kwark als ik trek heb tussen de middag.
Snoepen moet je niet doen en als drinken is het beter om groene thee te drinken ofzo dan koffie.
Dit is wel allemaal met het gedachtegoed dat je gewicht wilt verliezen en dat laatste beetje vet wilt kwijtraken. Resultaten hangen ook echt af van je discipline, je gaat niet resultaten boeken als je sporten uitstelt en halfwerk doet.
EDIT: Ik winkel zelf bijna exclusief bij de Albert Heijn omdat het echt om de hoek is voor mij. Over het roggebrood gesproken, dat abdijbrood ligt volgens mij alleen bij de Albert Heijn en kan je net zo goed verwisselen voor iets anders wat rijk is aan voedingsvezels.
