It's the audio language originally intended for the games by the developers + makes it more atmospheric for me personally.

Edit: Well I think I know what you're going to say and it will be something along the lines of immersion into the game with more realistic sound. But I would find it very off putting and a distraction.

Hit quote instead of edit.

A discussion about having full English subtitles for the Russian voice-overs for Last Light.

human_post+1 doesn't care about such trivial things. Laughing

And yeah, I think a couple of games (STALKER and Metro, mostly) work better for me using the "original" VO.

Iknorite... The language is atrocious and sometimes ruins the experience for me personally.

I'm sure you wouldn't suffer too much from not hearing the translation of a few Хуй's or Ебать's during firefights. Laughing

Well, I played the first game with Russian voice-overs, but then again... I speak Russian Very Happy
In comparison, it was a bit more "colorful" than the English version, but if I didn't speak the language, I'd prefer English in case of games.

Some benchmarks:

 Spoiler:

Don't use Physx and SSAA unless you have SLI/GTX TITAN Very Happy

source: http://www.lastlightforum.com/showthread.php?t=4742

Quote:
here´s the translation for the last pictures (headlines are left out):
-left upper corner: Tessellation increases the polygoncount of the NPCs so that sharp edged sections (marked ones) are shown smoother. If you want to save resources (FPS improvement up to 15%) you should disable this rarely noticeable feature
-right upper corner: the physic-effects in Metro Last Light are very realistic because of tighter smoke and more debris. The disadvantage is that the overall power will drop - in our version about 50% (look at benchmark)
-the rest of the picture:
;left upper corner (grade of detail: very high):
the maximum grade of detail contains nice optics. SSAO give the niches of the shelf shadows. All shadows and textures feature the hightest resolution and are filtered. In addition there are Soft Particle(gas lamp) and realistic lightning (bulb).
;right upper corner (grade of detail: high):
analytical AA is missing, the resolution of the filtered shadows is decreased, the grade of geometry is reduced slightly and the overall look is simplified. However it still looks better than the console version.
;left lower corner (grade of detail: normal):
the system of SSAO has a low quality now, tricks like Soft Paticles (gas lamp) and Skin Shading(face) or Paralax Mapping (see the [i dont know the exact word for the holes in the bucket]) are missing. The display of shadow and the textures´ resolution are looking acceptable.
;right lower corner (grade of detail: low):
this is how the graphics in consoles can look like. DX11-effects like smooth edges on shadows, Soft Particles, subsurface scattering on the display of faces or Paralax-Mapping are missing. The textures are not shown in a high resoultion (Table) and the grade of geometry is reduced heavily.

How im not surprised that PhysX again is "unoptimized", seems to me that it just wont run good unless you dedicate top end graphics card for it. SSAA also is taxing, nothing new on that. So in a nutshell, everything maxed out it will run like 10fps on the "optimal" rig, guess you need "The most optimal" rig, A.K.A 4-way GTX Titan to run it 60fps with PhysX on + SSAA Very Happy.

If you listen to the background noise in the video, you can hear the cooling system for the nuclear reactor that they need, to power the gaming rig the game is running on.

There was nothing wrong in the performance if you turned off the "PC exclusive" unoptimized DX11 effects. Hell even PhysX worked nicely on just CPU. Anyway looks very nice on that Gamespot video, console bro as its finest (playing FPS on PC with controller Cool Face).

this is looking very nice...

I saw a gif somewhere (might have even been posted here) of an NPC pulling a cover off of some type of buggie, looked amazing... let me see if I can find it...
