Thankfully not.

There was a hilarious post on reddit that I cannot find anymore (deleted?) that showed that the group blurs so much the image in order to gain in compressibility that a freaking 480p CAM rip has better detail (there was a comparison if I remember well).

(Of course a CAM has other disadvantages (colors, contrast, focus, and so on) that's not the point.)

Years ago, I had no idea what "UltraViolet" was, and every time I read about a blu-ray movie bundle that included "UltraViolet", I was sure it was referring to the awful movie with Milla Jovovich. Laughing

I found it very strange that it was included in every bundle, but assumed it was such a failure that they decided to bundle it with every blu-ray release just to get rid of the all the copies they had lying around.

Imagine my disappointment when I found out the truth.

Have you ever watched a YIFY rls? Maybe do that before you judge the image quality... not talking about a screenshot probably edited and then posted on reddit

To me its like 320kbps MP3s vs FLAC... I just wouldn't notice any difference, so its no point downloading a much larger file Wink
Same with 1080p youtube videos, I think they are just fantastic quality wise Laughing

Bad comparison. 320kbps is actually near lossless, especially to the untrained ear.

So your analogy in video terms would be something like 10GB (not 1.5GB!!!) 1080p rip vs Bluray.

In other words, it's like comparing 96kbps (not 320kbps!!!) MP3 to FLAC and claiming there's no difference.

Only two possible explanations: either you don't care or you are impaired.

You're right about that, but thats not my point To ME its like comparing those, because I wouldn't see the difference, no trolling...
I sit 2 meters from a 51" plasma, so maybe I am half blind after all Laughing

BTW, those screenshots, even 720p Laughing DVD has more fucking quality, so no, 480p looks better than that crap posted by consoletities.

Maybe iv just downloaded shitty oversized releases earlier, ill have to find one of those fanzy ass 6 GB rips and compare.

But even tho I might find out it looks slightly better I doubt ill think its worth the size.... you saw my work vs home thread Crying or Very sad

6GB is not fancy for 1080p :\

18-21GB for a 1080p is fancy, especially when it's full 1920x1080 or the film is long.

YIFY is at least the best picture quality 1080p you get at 1.5 GB, thats for sure. I think it looks way better than SD releases Everything Went Better Than Expected
