Who are you playing as? I got a shotgun within about ten minutes of playing as Sam B. Oh and a rifle.

That seems odd. I imported my save from Dead island 1, but I don't see why that should make a difference.
Edit: I would have assumed you imported a save too but someone said they are levelling up "phenomenally" fast, so I don't know?

i have no save from previous dead island, i didn't loot any pistol i only loot melee weapons, and at buying weapons all i see melee weapons, nothing else, i m now try'ing to finish team quests, maybe then firearms will show up, i'm 6 - 7 hours in the game, lvl 42.
Why walk, when you can ride.

When I run the game, at the main menu I get some really weird LOUD white noise, almost broke my earphones!
Anyone got that?

Check a page or two back, I think someone said something about 5.1 or 7.1 speakers.

I got the white noise as well but it's not too loud. I managed to removed it from gameplay (but it stayed in the main menus) by modifying the audio.scr file to use OpenAL (located in settings folders for the game in "My Documents").

Coop works like a charm, no problem what so ever. And the durability system is still there of course, but it seems the weapon lasts a bit longer.

Played it till the 5th chapter. So far Im still on the first big act.
+
More weapons, even more firearm type weapons (harpoon, shock gun, nail gun etc)
Unique monsters (hazmat guys, drowner)
Music is much better in this one

Menus
Story/cutscenes/characters are shit
Exploration is still useless after a few hours (mainly due to the static world)
Wheather system....Dynamic weather condition sure...but those transitions between clean and storm are.....OMG
My charachter levels up like crazy. Around each 15 minute: LEVEL UP!
The stamina thingy is still a pain in the ass

Yeah, grab your DI saves (X:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\xxxxxxxx\91310\remote\out\save) and place them at X:\ProgramData\RELOADED\RLD!\216250\storage\out\save.
Then start a new game and click import character, the game should recognize the character from the DI save.
This is for legit Dead Island/Riptide RELOADED, if you have a different combination the files will be stored in different folders (no idea which, to be honest).

I played this and got no saves, it blanked everything for no reason lol.
The music is definitely improved in this game, its almost like retro with older zombie films

Is it me or is the weather all over the place?!
At one point, i was in the car, it was sunny, then suddenly it started to rain, i get out of the car and the weather jumps to sunny again 
Getting these kind of moments quite often, seems like the whole weather system is bugged.

It is so much better in this game than it was in (to name an example) Far Cry 3. IMHO.
