Meh, not worth to get 4K for TV yet (unless you got too much money), maybe in a couple of years..

What would be the point of getting one of these I'm interested? Considering there's almost no content for it (unless there's some 4K content I'm not aware of). Gaming is obviously out of the question considering the 30hz.

I wouldn't buy one because of the 30hz limit. Just wait a while for a 60hz TV at the same price.

Even if there was content, it's still pointless considering how far away most people sit from their TV.
And no, you do not sit within 2m of a fucking 50 inch display, at which point 1080p is enough already. |

I did 
At times lan a couple of years back, brought my HDTV with me and gamed on that, sitting just ~50cm from the screen

30Hz. You know what that shit means for 24fps movies?
Either pure 24Hz or 60 at least.

I can just about fully appreciate 1080p at my 47inch when I'm 2 meters from it. Any further than that and the line between 720p and 1080p becomes blurry, at about 3.5m I can't tell the difference. My vision is not great so it might be better for others.
Considering that, you would require at least 80inch screen to fully appreciate 4K when sitting 2 meters from it. 2 meters is a bit drastic for that screen size, so I imagine you would in reality need a lot more inches.
In short, not worth buying it in any respect.
